I stayed at the hotel with my G adventures tour, basic costa rica. The location is great. right on the beach and you have a surf school right beside the hotel. You can walk to a supermarket and there are plenty of good restaurants not too far. There is a kitchen and laundry service at the hotel. Great place to...

We were very happy with our stay at Casa Valeria. Best part is the location. If we were any closer to the ocean, we would have been in it! We had a great beachfront bungalow that was also very close to the supermarket and easy walking distance from everything else in Samara. Jose was a great host and was available...

We had picked a private dorm room with bathroom. Kitchen, 2 fridges lots of utensils. Hammocks, tables and right on the beach. José was a great host and always available. Our room was a bit tired but we knew it wouldn't be the Ritz. Highly recommended for people on a budget.

We liked it so much we came twice to stay here at casa Valeria, the rooms and bungalows are comfortable and spacious, they're cleaned every day. There is a communal kitchen which is very handy and they also offer free hammocks and tables under the trees. You are steps away from the sea and still close to restaurants and supermarket....

We love Casa Valeria and every year continue to return. The owners are very helpful and have always taken the time to help with all our needs. Right on the beach it's located smack in the middle of the bay in Samara and never feels crowded even in high season. We love the bunglows and the shared kitchen is always...

We stayed at Casa Valeria last week during the G Adventures Basic Costa Rica tour. The hostels location is amazing, the rooms lead out directly on to the beach. This is the perfect location to end 2 weeks of adventure! There is plenty to do in Samara such as surf lessons, snorkelling, dolphin watching.

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The beach huts are literally 20 steps from the ocean, the hammocks outside are a perfect chilled area and the rooms are cleaned everyday to keep the sand out as much as possible. My only improvement would be air conditioning but the fan works reasonably well

We really enjoyed staying in the beach bungalow. The manager was attentive, the accommodations were simple but totally adequate and the ocean was perfect. There is a supermarket nearby and we found the communal kitchen very clean. One only has to walk down the beach on either side of the property to find tasty restaurants. Hey it ain't the Ritz...

Location of this place is unique! It is essentially on the beach. Bungalow #6 is great -- it faces the beach and is just about 40 steps away from the water, with hammocks and palm trees right outside the door! This is not a 5star resort, but you get to live right on the beach. We found this place amazingly...

Been to this hotel twice on visits to Samara. Chose to go back to this place mainly for the location. It is not the most comfortable place in the world. My mother paid for a bungalow with AC but it did not work. But to wake up and be able to walk right into the ocean for $40-50 night is...
