Rick was a great host and had lots of suggestions for us - he was happy to organise things and help us plan our trip! The location is great - a 20 minute drive from Liberia Airport and the pool/hang out area was great to lounge about in our free time! Loved staying here!

Visiting Rancho Armadillo was a once in a lifetime experience. My husband had been corresponding with the owner, Rick for several months as Rick had many suggestions from our room picks at his estate to the many attractions that we would be most interested in visiting. He guided us with the best car rentals, restaurants, day trips and local trips...

My husband and I returned to Rancho Armadillo in April - this time with our three kids. It was as wonderful as the first time three years ago. Rick genuinely cares and is interested in you enjoying your holiday. He is a fabulous host - willing to help with anything. He goes above and beyond. I would only stay here...

Just to be clear, the detail that makes Rancho Armadillo Estate perfecto is the proprietor, Rick. The hotel is beautiful, with many special details, but Rick makes all of those details come together. He makes his guests feel more like a welcome guest coming for a visit, rather than a customer. The estate is divided into guest room areas and...

We stayed at Rancho Armadillo in late November 2015 and again a few weeks later in December. We have previously traveled throughout Costa Rica, and it is our favorite destination from all of our travels throughout the world. We have never found an owner or employee who was more accommodating and helpful in all of our travels. We are in...

We spent a week at Rancho Armadillo. The owner, Rick, made it a special and comfortable time. It is hard to say enough about his interest and desire to make you comfortable on the estate and have the best time possible in Costa Rica. We loved the open area for dining and socializing. It is small so everyone has a...

Our two teen age daughters, my wife and I spent 6 nights at Rancho Armadillo and we were extremely pleased with our experience! The property is located approximately 5-10 minutes by car/ taxi to the town of Playas del Cocos and perhaps a 30 minute walk to the beach. The inn consists of several one story buildings containing a total...

Rancho Armadillo really could be renamed Rick's place. The owner, Rick, is there to help you during your stay and everyone in town seems to know him. We stayed here for 10 days and had a wonderful time. There is a lovely swimming pool and lots of wildlife on your doorstep. Once raccoons stole our granddaughter's feeding spoons, which we...

My family truly enjoyed our stay at Rancho Armadillo in Playas del Coco. At Rancho Armadillo you feel like a traveler, not a tourist. Rick is extremely helpful in providing direction and suggestions for sightseeing excursions, i.e. waterfalls, ziplining, etc. It is not a manicured property, if that's your thing, go to a nearby resort - it is rustic and...

Our family had a spectacular time staying with Rick at Rancho Armadillo! Rick goes above and beyond to ensure his guest have a wonderful easy going holiday!! From planning day trips, excursions, identifying birds, tips on the best restaurants and which roads to take (this is important as there are few road signs and you often need to take dirt...
