One of 5 Hotel we visited, this one was off the radar and unplanned. We got an extra nights stay in Costa Rica and started using TripAdvisor to see where to book. All the recommendations talked about how helpful and friendly the staff and concierge were. The pictures looked pretty good, so we just showed up. First off, from the...

I waited to rent a room in Coco until I got there so I could check out what was available. If you want to feel at home, this is the place. It's close to everything, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is awesome from housekeeping to the cook you couldn't walk by without them saying hello. Yea I...

We picked this hotel based on its location, and it was great in that respect. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. Adrian in particular is a gem. We left our passports at the hotel and called him from the airport to ask them to hang onto them at the front desk. Adrian volunteered to bring them to...

There are not many choices for hotels within walking distance to town and the beach in Playas del Coco. This hotel seemed like the best choice. It is not fancy or updated, but the service is very good. There is a 24 hour convenience store on-site, a pool and a good restaurant- I had the sushi. The pool/restaurant area is...

I spent 3 days at Coco Palms last week. I wanted to just relax at the beach for a couple of days before heading home. Everyone at the hotel was beyond friendly and happy to help with information or restaurant recommendations. In particular, Adrian not only makes a delightfully refreshing drink, he also researched the bus schedule to Liberia for...

Hotel is rundown, at best. In a rather seedy part of town, although near the beach. Do not go to this town during Easter. It's a drunk-fest. The only nice features were the pool, pool area and bar. Food was so-so.

This was our second trip to Costa Rica and since we stayed at the Coco Palms last time and enjoyed it so much we decided to stay there again this trip. We were not disappointed. The owners, Savannah and John, are very friendly and go out of their way to ensure that everything is just right. This trip was a...

We don't like the all inclusive resorts, we like a hotel where you can safely walk to restaurants & coffee shops, go for a run, hear music at night etc without driving. This was perfect. The beach near the hotel was nice, but a city beach so during the day, we explored other beaches, better for swimming. They have a nice...

This is a great place to stay or just get dinner. It has a large menu with lots of specialties. The restaurant has authentic sushi made by a Japanese Sushi Chef. The coconut shrimp is to die for!!! The hotel is conveniently located just off the main drag in CoCo and right on the beach. Drinks by the pool are...

Normally I research my hotels and decide on a variety factors but this trip I left it for my bf to do. We ended up at Playa del Coco, not the area I was expecting as I heard Tamarindo was more the happening place. When we got to the hotel, the room was not to our specs, 2 double beds...
