Unfortunately it appears that the old owners sold the property and the new management has a lot of ineptitude. I made my reservation with at least a month in advance knowing it was the beginning of Semana Santa. The rates are not the same as online, much higher. I was given a quote of $90 per night but was told...

The Mariner is under new management. Thought we'd stop by and see what the food is like. My wife ordered the special - fresh deep fried red snapper. It came with large shrimp, veggies, and mashed potatoes. It was the better than those she tried in other restaurants. Unfortunately it is available only when they have fresh red snapper. That...

Since a long and delightful visit early in 2016, I have followed developments since new owners took charge mid-year 2016. More recent reviews have been quite unfavorable: worst hotel, dump ... sort of comments. I thought, to give a newer review, I would stay a month, January into February 2017. When I showed up, they did not have a record...

I asked several times for pics of the rooms before I traveled. No one even returned my email. I was trying to block the whole hotel for my group. Then I went over months before the group event and stopped by, had a drink at the upstairs bar, which seemed to be a locals hangout. I went to the front...

Last time I stayed there I paid $29 a night. If the rooms are now $93 as indicated and the rooms have not had a major renovation, run like hell. They advertise free Wifi, but the room they gave me was too far from the signal. So the next day I was moved from that room to another room and...

This is the worst hotel I have ever been. I stayed there literally 20 minutes with my family after seen the room we got. It was dirty, I mean really dirty!!, It looked like a horror movie room. There was no privacy at all. The rooms address to the Public Street, no walls or anything in between. There was a...

Went here for a quick lunch while out on my own and ordered the beef taco's. They were a little different than what I expected but looked really good. They fried a corn shell and placed it inside a flour shell held together with a dab of black beans. Unfortunately the meat seem like it had been sweetened, a little...

Anytime I see "luxury" in an advertisement for an accommodation I look further, seeking authentic satisfaction. This small inn, with about a dozen rooms, bar and restaurant has American-influenced authentic in spades. I stayed a month.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the Inn. Price was right, room was small but clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, owner Lynn very nice. Enjoyed the pool, nice view from the restraunt. Food was great and reasonably priced. Beach a short walk. Regulars and locals friendly. My one concern was the driveway, very steep and rutted.Playa Flamingo beach is...
