This felt like a little oasis for us. Arriving with a sick baby, Gail's motherly yet relaxed hosting skills meant we felt like we weren't a burden (no one wants guests with a crying sick baby!!). The phone for emergencies was a wonderful touch for us new parents at 2am. The staff were lovely the pool was just what we...

I spent 8 relaxing nights here in February and enjoyed the peaceful, laid back setting. My room was on the second floor overlooking the pool. It was clean and simple but comfortable. I opened both of the windows during my stay and did not use the A/C. I enjoyed listening to the sounds of the howler monkeys, tropical birds, and...

We had a lovely time at La Marejada. Couldn't have a more perfect location to access the spectacular beach of Playa Grande. Gail and Marco were very welcoming and accommodating. They set us up with surf lessons (so much fun!), and offered to make arrangements for us to take a canoe tour in a nearby mangrove area (we couldn't go...

This small hotel has everything to please you during your stay at Playa Grande. The eight rooms are simply but efficiently decorated and furnished with white walls and lovely wood furnitures. There's a big window so it's nice and bright. The bed was firm and comfortable, perfect. The bathroom is quite small but the shower is great. The owner told...

I couldn't have asked for more... La Marejada was a stand out and well deserving of 5 stars! The location was perfect, so close to the beach with some great waves right out front. The hotel is one of 4 little hotels next to each other and it was by far the most welcoming with great vibes... The owners Gail...

Playa Grande is super calm at night and it's a very great place to learn surf or just walk around to Playa Carbon where I...

The rooms are basic, but the location is fantastic if you want a place to relax and to take long walks on a beautiful beach. Gail, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. The attached restaurant serves good meals and drinks at a reasonable price. I don't often go back to a place I have already been to but I...

We loved our stay at La Marejada Hotel. The hotel is very quaint which perfectly matches its sleepy beach town surroundings on Playa Grande. We liked that the town was small, quiet and relatively remote but just a short walk to Tamarindo which offers more nightlife and attractions if we felt up to it. Attached to the hotel was a...

Very nice hotel, cosy interior and very friendly staff. They rent out surf boards, there's a restaurant and the breakfast is really nice (not included). The room is small but clean and a comfortable bed. Just a 5min walk from the beach which is awesome for some surf.
