Went there in February for 4 days. They have the most wonderful surf instructor and he is a sushi chef! Room are very cute and super clean, also is the bathroom. It's worth the price. Playa Grande is super calm at night and it's a very great place to learn surf or just walk around to Playa Carbon where I...

The rooms are basic, but the location is fantastic if you want a place to relax and to take long walks on a beautiful beach. Gail, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. The attached restaurant serves good meals and drinks at a reasonable price. I don't often go back to a place I have already been to but I...

We loved our stay at La Marejada Hotel. The hotel is very quaint which perfectly matches its sleepy beach town surroundings on Playa Grande. We liked that the town was small, quiet and relatively remote but just a short walk to Tamarindo which offers more nightlife and attractions if we felt up to it. Attached to the hotel was a...

Very nice hotel, cosy interior and very friendly staff. They rent out surf boards, there's a restaurant and the breakfast is really nice (not included). The room is small but clean and a comfortable bed. Just a 5min walk from the beach which is awesome for some surf.

Really, you feel like you are coming home to La Marejada. Gail is incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful (if you need to book a turtle tour, for example)...not to mention being my hero for her devotion and skill as a surfer. She asked us about our stay, time, needs, etc, as she waxed her board in the courtyard. Really, I...

This is a lovely little place to stay in Playa Grande. The drinks and food were excellent. The owners were very helpful in recommending places to go and see. The only slightly negative thing I would say is that the bar/restaurant next door was a little noisy at night. I have a small child so we do go to bed...

Once again, we had a wonderful stay at La Marejada. This time we had our kids with us as it was our 2nd time visiting. This time we made sure we stayed longer. Gail & Marco showed us great hospitality and generosity. Gail is always willing to answer questions, give advice and go out of her way to make you...

We travel a lot. And when we can find a place called "home", that's huge props! La Marejada staff including owner Gail/Marco, makes you feel like part of the family and part of their daily chill routine. The room was spacious, clean and bright. Despite being conservative with water for obvious reasons it was nice to take a hot shower...
