Sugar’s Monkey is one of the most charming little boutique properties that I have visited. The grounds are beautiful with a lovely little pool for cooling off and the bar and restaurant area is decorated in a modern style using natural materials. I really enjoyed reading my book on a bean bag chair in the evenings and chatting with the... More

What a wonderful place with the most incredibly friendly owners! The Inn is a short walk away from one of the best beaches in Costa Rica, especially wonderful if you are learning how to surf. The young family that owns the place was new to running an Inn but very friendly and helpful. Finally, the grounds, although not expansive, had... More

This is the second year I've stayed in the beautiful little surf town of Playa Grande. This place, PGI was perfect. The manager Javier and his wife Freya couldn't possibly be better, more helpful people. They honestly did everything they could to make our stay amazing. My husband and I stayed here in March for a week. Last year we stayed at the Ripjack but ended up hanging out at the PGI most of the time. The rooms are simpler here in comparison to the Ripjack (no TV or fridge) but are really all that you need. We loved the chill community vibe and it’s close... More

Just stayed at Playa Grande Inn (PGI) 2 nights ago it was an amazing experience. Extremely close to the beach (Like 2 mins) Place was clean, breakfast was great, staff was amazing and made everyone feel right at home. We were originally looking to stay in Tarmarindo but thought this would be close enough. This choice was pure luck but... More

We stayed here two nights after moving from next door, La Marejeda, the first few days of February. We were here about 10 years ago, and the place has changed a lot.
