If you are in Samara and you need a simple place to stay you need to try casa Paraiso. The place is nice and comfortable, in line with costa rica's mood. The room was clean and blue! Silvia, the owner, is friendly and she's probably trying to tell you how you can leave your job and go to Samara for... More

My husband and I were in town looking for a local place to eat at. We had the fish and chips from the newly opened grill and it was incredible!!! Sylvia and the staff were SO kind! We spent time talking with everyone and they were kind enough to show us around and even gave us a ride back to... More

We can absolutely recommend this hotel! You’ll find a really nice and laid-back atmosphere there. Silvia (the owner) and her boyfriend Chris are GREAT people and we had a wonderful time with them. They are really helpful and friendly. The hotel is close to the beach - just a 2 minutes walk away - and to the “centre” of the... More

My wife and I happened upon this place today looking for a decent healthy lunch. We enjoyed so much that we came back for dinner! Delicious food in every way, from the pasta to the raw veggies with humus and guacamole. Silvia was a delight to talk with and she is truly serving a need in the vegetarian community. Would... More

Hotel Case Paraiso is for sure overpriced and the safety of the rooms is one big question because glass is missing by the windows (not all the rooms). Tho years ago we went to the same hotel and still the didn't repair the windos!!. That is the reason why it gives you a unsafe feeling when you're away to the... More

we stayed here for a couple of days - enjoyed the food and nice chats with sylvia in the evening. The rooms are not superior, but quite ok and the mattresses are excellent. 2 Minutes walk to the beach. Would definitely go there again.

Sylvia is kind and makes excellent bread. She seems to be working hard to make this place go. That said, it was loud at night because of neighboring campers and a nearby dog, not a strong sense of safety for things left in the room, food mediocre, poor lighting in the room, cats that walk across counters and tables.

Great location, great food, great people :) Casa Paraiso is one of my favourite places in Samara. Sabine, Jim and Matteo ;) will make you feel at home. The rooms are simple and clean and you can be on the beach in 2 minutes :) Casa Paraiso is also home to a vegetarian restaurant which specialises in Italian cuisine and... More

I have stayed at the Casa Paraiso several times over the past few years. The rooms are comfortable enough with ceiling fans and screened windows. There is no TV or AC. There is WiFi and parking, although I could not get an Internet connection this trip. Maintenance (e.g. replacing light bulbs) and room cleaning have been problems. Sadly, this was... More
