This is a very small resort that allows for an intimate vacation. Approx. 50 cabins ( some quite nice with efficiencies), it lent itself well to what we were looking for. It's a two hour trip by bus from Liberia airport, but the resort and surroundings are great. A twenty minute walk to Samara, the small town that seems alive...

Great little place however.. there are not enough chairs on the beach.. They say it is a "beachfront resort".. but you need chairs to sit on the beach .. or the shade.. There are not enough chairs on the beach to accomodate the people . They absolutely forbid you to move the chairs at the pool (which are unoccupied and...

We stayed at the resort from march 11-19 : Great location on the beach and walking distance to Samara. We loved the food but it can get repetitive. The staff was friendly and very helpful - Thanks Marcos and Daniel for the exceptional service! Our room was clean, renovated and close to the beach. The kayak/snorkling excursion was fun and...

The location was lovely with iguanas, lizards and lots of birds on the property. The villas were comfortable and the food very tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. You can walk along the beach to get to a small town which had restaurants and shopping and if you are lucky you get to see monkeys with their babies...

We just spent a week there and the rooms were great and most were renovated. The construction is an issue so ask for a room away from it or at least facing the beach. The beach is large and soft sand but you need water shoes depending on the tide because there are smaller rocks and coral pieces. Water was...

I stayed at this resort from March 11 - March 18th. The location is pristine -- you're literally steps away from the beautiful beachfront. The staff was very friendly and helpful (muchas gracias a Luis y Yoselin!). I loved having a villa to myself and the rooms were kept fairly clean. Thank you to everyone for making our stay a...

Nice beach and close to a little town for souvenirs (this was the selling point for us) but the food was very poor compared to other resorts, this was our third time in Costa Rica and I literally was hungry several times because there was very little to enjoy. They had the same thing every night, one night they did...

The staff was friendly. The rooms were adequate. Daniel and Javier were hard working employees and good bartenders. The hotel policies were ridiculous. $50 fine for using a beach towel on the beach? Lose the towel card? $50! $5 for a soft drink? C'mon!!! I did not feel like a guest with reference to the hotel policies and procedures. Now...

This was our third trip to Costa Rica but the first at Playa Samara. We were given a nice room with a patio that over looked the beach. I noticed there were rooms without a view. The patio chairs are hard and could use a pad of some type. The food is not fancy but there was a nice selection,...

The resort itself was OK. Our room had nothing but a bed in it. The bathroom was nice. Nowhere to sit in the room but on the bed. We had a tiny window that looked out at a wall. We asked two different times during our 4 night stay to have our sheets changed and they didn't change them. There...
