Beautiful property located away from main center of town (Tamarindo). We were offered an upgrade to their more modern room, but actually preferred their standard room instead. More homey, Costa Rican feel to it. Ate dinner one night - excellent food and very friendly courteous staff. We ate breakfast there each morning and, again, we could not say enough nice...

My husband has already reviewed but would confirm that it's great for families - we stayed in 3 bed villa with pool. Hotel staff are great: accommodating and friendly with adults and kids too. You need to walk/ ride to a swimming beach but with older kids that's easy. The yoga - with Gita is a great touch..We took some...

I stayed at Cala Luna for 5 days in February 2016. My good friend and I celebrated our birthdays. We stayed in one of the three-bedroom villas with private pool. It was absolutely amazing and very spacious. The property is beautiful and well-maintained. The customer service is the best I've experienced. The staff knew we were celebrating our birthdays so...

The lady friend and I had the very best time at this joint. The bungalow setup gave the beautiful rooms a nice bonus touch. The location of the grounds was perfect! You have a private sand beach for the best sunset view in the area (with a free local cocktail to enjoy while you're at it) and monkeys doing their...

This was our first time in Costa Rica. After spending three nights near Arenal, we spent six nights at this lovely property including New Years. The property itself is situated in a quiet area on Langosta Beach, just south of Tamarindo. The location was perfect for us. The room was comfortable, clean and private. Our friends stayed in a villa...

We stayed for 3 nites at Cala Luna. Yes, their beach is not great. BUT you are a short walk away from two that are--one in crowded downtown Tamarindo, the other a more serene experience. The hotel staff could not have been more accommodating. Our room was just fine [I did expect a few more bells and whistles, but...] And...

We stayed here over the Christmas/New Year holiday and really enjoyed our stay. It was nice that the hotel was outside of the main city area, definitely helped with the relaxing nature. It feels like you're in the midst of a jungle on the resort there are so many plants and trees. The pool area is very nice with plenty...

We stayed here over the Christmas period and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is beautifully laid out, very clean and the staff is excellent - friendly, professional, and very accommodating. We only ate breakfast and the odd lunch here but all was very nice. We stayed in a two bed villa, which was very well appointed and a nice...

We spent the Christmas holiday at the hotel. The facility is in a secluded section of the town, away from the bustling Tamarindo. Though walkable to the town centre, $5 each way cab ride is preferred. The facility is kept in the excellent condition. Rooms/units are separated by tropical trees and plants providing privacy and a sense of seclusion. There...

We were 5 people including 2 kids. Stayed at a beautiful villa with a gorgeous private pool-not used so much because of the cold water and preference for the beach. The restaurant has tasty chef style food for dinner. Breakfast was good with 3-4 types of fruit, hot dishes, omelette station-always full-, 2 types of juices, breads. Most days it...

“See above. The modern room was just a little too bare. If the management adds a few things to make it a little more homey, the room would, in my opinion, be better.”
