No love here. We stayed here for two nights as part of a week long trip through Costa Rica. Perhaps, for the price it is adequate. The room was clean but insects were a problem. The lack of privacy was annoying and the bed was uncomfortable, lacking a mattress pad. The lock on the door was not reassuring. The pool... More

When we got to the front desk there was nobody to great us. We had to wait like 15min until somebody came. The rooms are ok (cozy somehow) but the matress are really hard and the pillows really low, therefore is difficult to fall sleep. There are red ants walking in the walls, but they are not sooo many as... More

We stayed here in bungalow #2 for a week in early March 2013 and really enjoyed it. Such a friendly French? family runs the place. The owner is an activist for the monkey population and their sad interface with all the dangerous electrical line so tempting to run across. The breakfasts were tasty, in a lovely setting. Pool was very... More

We originally found this hotel on tripadvisor. Didn't know what to expect. We had a small hut - with an upstairs - it was very cozy. The beach, as advertised, was a mere five minute walk from the hotel. Toni and Angela, at the office, were very forthcoming with needed information. They helped us organize our trip back to San... Since I have an extended big family coming to visit me in Costa Rica, we decided to book at hotel Luna LLena. We have been very impressed about this little jewel in the heart of Tamarindo. Rooms are clean and big, the boungalows are amazing, you can feel everywhere the love that the owners and staff put in their business.... More

Beware the cute exterior and nice brochures--this place is a hot mess. We stayed at Luna llena in 2010 and found it fabulous with cute bungalows that slept 3-4 people with a kitchen, good pool, sushi bar, offering excellent value with a location off the beaten path. Now "fabulous" is just a word I'd use to describe how I felt... More

This is a cute place from the outside, nice looking pool and bar area and is within walking distance to town and the beach. Nice tile shower. I didn't stay in one of the bungalows so I can only fairly review the standard room which was a small, run down room that smelled musty. I would not recommend staying in... More

First off the positives: -it was walking distance to everything so that was great -the bed was comfortable -nice pool -breakfast was good (kinda small though) -super friendly staff Negatives: -charged more than advertised -tons of ants/millipedes/stinkbugs/other creatures in the room -internet did not work in the room -didn't have our room ready as they were not expecting us

This is a nice little spot just off the beaten path in Tamarindo, but walking distance to everything. We stayed in a bungalow unit which was clean and spacious, staff was friendly and helpful, and price is very reasonable. I enjoyed the atmosphere with plenty of happy cats and dogs milling about, and the building structures allowing for some free... More

We stayed in 2 upstairs room. We loved the decor. The rooms are individually designed, both had big bathrooms and nice balconies. There were some ants around and the first room did have some funny odor in the bathroom. But nothing that bothered us too much. It was still low season so for the most part there were only very...
