The tour was arranged by our hostel in Peurto Viejo. Bridgette picked us up from the bus station in Cahuita and took us to her home where the tour starts (and where the lodging/restaurant is). She offers many other tours and rents surf boards, etc....More
The breakfasts are very good. They are prepared and served by very nice people. The animals are friendly and clean (horses, chickens, cats and dogs) and do not disturb the customers. A very good place for breakfasts in Cahuita.

Playa Negra is directly across the road from Brigitte's cabinas. The national park is at the edge of the village of Cahuita, a walk of approximately 20 minutes down a gravel road from Brigitte's (or an easy bike ride or a very brief ride by car or taxi).
I had no vehicle and both walked and bicycled into town and the park. You can rent bicycles from Brigitte's sister.
