I felt instantly at home here. The surroundings are beautiful, the decor was earthy and comfortable, and the manager was super friendly and welcoming. The house had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, and having the grocery store nearby as well as the fruit truck that passed in the afternoon was super convenient. Lots of activities are within... More

Our family of 4 loved this well maintained and clean house located in a jungle setting! It is private yet the grocery store is a 3 minute walk away and the beach is ~10 min away by foot. The kitchen is well equipped, mosquito nets surround the beds (not that bugs were an issue for us), the patio has 2... More

An aesthetic little house in the jungle. Great use of light, good kitchen, wonderful porch, fascinating pond. Dowside: uneven floors, dark, musty bedrooms. Not for those with a need for creature comforts, but a little adventurous and quite authentic. On site manager is terrific helping with tips and arrangements.

I had the best vacation of my life here and I would highly recommend this vacation rental for everyone! I saw so much wildlife within hours of my arrival and the entire experience here was nothing short of magical! Steps from beautiful beaches, great restaurants, and all other amenities. The hosts were wonderful and made my stay better than I... More

This property had all of the necessary amenities for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Friendly assistance available via caretaker when needed, the place itself was clean and spacious - it felt immediately like a home away from home. The location was perfectly situated - wildlife to enjoy just outside the house and just a short stroll to the beach and... More

The owners, Daniel and Jeff, were especially helpful during our stay at Casa Grande. They answered questions for us, via email, that helped us solve problems. They were instantly responsive. Rodrigo, the bilingual caretaker, was totally supportive and friendly. He always gave us tips of things to to and twice helped us spot wildlife in the vicinity: an owl, hawk,... More

I stayed at Casa Mango for a month and really had a chance to experience daily life in the tiny town of Playa Chiquita. Situated a few hundred feet off the main coastal road, in a neighborhood comprised of both locals, guest houses, and small rental cottages, Casa Mango is the perfect mix of privacy and companionship. The house itself... More

My boyfriend and 2 friends had a wonderful stay at Casa La Selvatica. The location is great- tucked away just off the main road, surrounded by jungle plants and birds, it really feels like paradise. The patio is perfect for morning breakfast, afternoon catnaps on the hammocks and evening dinners and games. Minutes from the beach we road the bikes... More

My husband and I are staying in Casa Mango for a month. It is quiet and beautiful here. We are just steps to restaurants, the beach, grocery store and local bus. We know this area very well and think the location is perfect. Having an on-site manager is great! From my hammock I've seen all kinds of wildlife--an armadillo, howler... More

My husband and 2 grown daughters stayed at Casa Grande for a week in February 2014. Playa Chiquita is a tropical paradise. If you need to dress up, wear fancy shoes, get waited on, spend a lot of money, have a schedule or brag about a fancy resort, don't stay at Casa Grande. However, If you are looking for a... More
