It was our first stop in Costa Rica. After long journey from Europe, we were looking forward to get rest. Unfortunately it was nearly impossible to do that, mainly because there is no air con, only one fan. During the day inside the room was hotter than outside. We stay there for 3 nights in April and it was highly...

Thank you for your review. We have 4 houses 1 bungalow and 2 rooms with A/C also 5 bungalows and 2 rooms without a/c. It is very unpleasant for us to read a negative review for an unnecessary reason and especially if nothing is mentioned at the desk. As I had 1 couple in a unit with fan from UK...

Decided to stay at Coco Loco after reading decent reviews online, we stayed in one of the bungalows that are very nice but no air con, you can stay in another room with air con but not so attractive. Lovely gardens very well kept, but no swimming pool. Location is good as although on the edge of town only 5...

Really enjoyed my 8 nights here and am thinking about going back for even longer. After looking around at some other places, I think this is the prettiest, cleanest and quietest lodge in Puerto Viejo. The owner is originally from Austria, speaks English, German, and Spanish fluently (maybe others), and designed and built the property 25 years ago. She has...

Amazingly beautiful place to stay in Puerto Viejo! We booked two different rooms and both the companies were very satisfied with this choice. It's value for money, since it's not expensive comparing to other rooms/hotels near by which are

I absolutely loved my stay here. I felt safe and was free from bugs inside my cute little room. It was very clean and close enough to the beach to walk. Reasonably priced and excellent staff. They even have bikes you can rent to ride around the town. Two thumbs up 👍👍

I feel I made a great choice with Coco Loco. I was very close to walking distance to the beach, nightlife, shops etc. I also felt very safe on the hotel grounds and you can hear several different wildlife species which was a bit scary in day one but afterwards I looked forward to it. The staff was very friendly...

We took a chance and checked in to Coco Loco Lodge at night and without much advance research. We were not disappointed. It's walking distance to the village and beaches so that was great. The rooms are clean but simple. I always feel better when there is a net over the bed so that was nice. It was a great...

BEAUTIFUL property! We arrived around 10 at night on the bus from San Jose. We had no problem walking to the grounds from the bus stop. After a long day of travelling we finally arrived at Bungalow 2 and enjoyed the most refreshing night of sleep! The lighting in the room was just right (very romantic), the bed was so...

There is a nice outer area to relax. The outside of the cabana looks great but inside needs some attention. We had to bring a chair in from outside to have a place to sit inside. There is a fan that keeps the air moving and a mosquito net around the bed. I received some serious bug bites so keep...

We were looking for a hotel and wandered upon this property. Lots of little cabana type buildings. They have a little age to them but are super clean and very convenient to town. They have a great breakfast and accommodating staff. There is a beautiful beach nearby, the only downside is the litter. It is evident that many have no...
