We enjoyed our stay at Azania. The bungalows are clean, spacious and screened in (we didn't have to use the mosquito net they provided). Each has a front porch with a hammock and two benches. The hotel grounds are nicely landscaped and a short walk (2-3 min) from Playa Cocles. The pool area is nice and restaurant is great, although...

I held my wedding at Azania in mid May. This place is beyond anything that I could have imagined! I scoured the Internet and did tons of research to find out anything that I possibly could about this place and let me tell you that then I arrived I was blown away! Our family and friends filled out the entire...

We were there for a week for my brothers wedding. We had all of the bungalows rented for our guests and the wedding was on the beautiful grounds! The pictures you will see on the internet do not do it justice! It is AMAZING!!

I read a number of reviews about azania bungalows before we booked our stay and none of them did the place fair justice. Azania was the most tranquil place we have ever stayed. Holy week was in full blaze while we were in Costra Rica and Puerto Viejo was beyond chaotic. I think half the country desided to come to...

My husband and I stayed at Azania four nights. We loved the gardens and surrounding area. The bungalows are as described and are very quaint. This is not a super tourist crazy area which makes it nice and relaxing. We were up early with the sun and outside nature noises but that was a bonus. The main lodge offers a...

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Azania Bungalows for five nights. It could not have been more perfect. It was our first time travelling outside of the USA, so we were a little nervous. The Azania Bungalows were AMAZING. They are located in a lush garden, directly across the street from the beach. The breakfast that is served each...

We stayed at AZANIA HOTEL and loved it. It is just as it looked on the web site they have. Small and cozy, the decor was great, furniture, pool and garden was amazing. The restaurant is super. We would ole to go back again but stay there for a week or so. Also, it is super close to the beach.

BEWARE...these people will quote you one price and confirm it via fax, but when you arrive late and weary of traveling, they will get you to sign something agreeing to a much higher price. A couple of their employees were condescending and rude, not as helpful as their website implies. Their website makes it sound like they would willingly help...

We were in Puerto Viejo for a week in November 2005. WE LOVED PUERTO VIEJO!!! No "Americanized" high rises--just beach, bungalows and jungle....and, some amazing restaurants. Lots of rain and rest...and, a few spectacular sunny days. It was the most relaxing vacation we ever had. Azania Bungalows was where we chose to sleep and hang out. They were intimate, inexpensive,...

We chose Azania because of most of the other good reviews, and because of the swimming pool (for our kids). Azania, or any of the other bungalow style resorts in P.V. are not luxury accommodations and are not supposed to be. The bungalows are charming and rustic. They are screened but otherwise open allowing you to enjoy the sounds of...
