My girl friend and I stayed here for a couple nights back in September. The room was a good price and perfect for what we needed it for.. It's not the most up to date rooms, the lighting is a little dark, and the bed wasn't the most comfortable thing ever but it was clean, there was hot water in... More

My sister and I stayed here for seven days. We got a great rate from Jordan for paying in advance. Jordan and the staff were super friendly and helpful. They recommended several things to do and always pointed us in the right direction. If we needed a cab, Jordan would call one up for us. We had fresh coffee every... More

Nice hotel, the owner is very friendly and there's a dog and a cat living there!! Rooms are clean and nice. There are mosquitoes also so take precautions. Overall you get what you pay for and I will be going back for sure :)

So, we (family of four) stayed at Lotus Garden for 2 nights. I gave the 2nd star for the location, which was absolutely great. Close to cockless and in the middle of the cute Puerto Viejo street! However the room "Kimakade" or something was an unpleasent surprise. I have never been bitten more by musquities in my life and the... More

We just wrapped up a 3-night stay at the Lotus Garden. My overall thoughts seem to be on par with other reviews, which are difficult to quickly sum up, so I'll try to break it down... Lodging - As with everything in life, you get what you pay for. You'll find cheaper prices than the surrounding area, but the rooms... More

The food was amazing! Didn't stay here, only went to the restaurant. But if ypure travelling for a long time and crave sushi this place is great! Nice staff that love what they do and makes it fun to eat there. A little bit expensive if you go by yourself bud the price on the sharing plates are fine.

The staff were very friendly, but the room was in a sad state of disrepair. Black mould on the walls, tub shower combo that didn't work, bathroom sink in the room, no table for your suitcase, rock hard bed with crappy pillows. The place has paper thin walls so you can hear people talking, walking and cars/trucks roaring by with... More

So really, who goes to Costa Rica for sushi and fried rice?? My husband wanted to go here after two weeks without Chinese food, which is his favorite kind of food. Any Asian food, actually. Unfortunately, the food here is crap. Terrible sushi. Terrible soup. No fried rice. Our service was good, and they do have a resident sloth, which... More

The hotel staff were awesome, very accommodating and friendly. A sloth takes up resident in one of the trees. Walking distance to town. biking distance to beaches. The garden area was tranquil, and the pool was clean. The rooms were nice and clean. AC worked great. The towels and pillows are dated and need to be replaced (the ones we... More

I stayed for a total of 7 nights in the Lotus Garden near the beginning and end of a recent holiday to Costa Rica and Panama. The location, on the edge of town, was perfect for me. I was close to the restaurants and bars but it is much quieter than the middle of town. The service from Jordan and... More
