We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a larger organized tour. The rooms are spacious and clean, the meals are wonderful(buffet style and included), and the nature is stunning. I am only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because there is no air conditioning and the humidity can be overwhelming. However, there are 2 beautiful pools to...

We booked a trip to Laguna Lodge ourselves for 3 nights. We had to arrange our own transport to meet a connection with Laguna Lodge. Our bus was an hour late arriving but they had waited for us and when we got there we were given a packed lunch. Our guide Juan was very attentive and knew exactly who we...

We spent 2 nights in Laguna Lodge. Did a nice canoe excursion with a local guide as well as a boat trip through Palm canal with Laguna's guide Carlos which was amazing. We saw different kinds of herons, caimans, turtles, monkeys, parrots, etc. Good buffe at the lodge. Clean rooms. Nice pool area.

We don't usually stay in this type of group organized tour activity BUT to visit Tortuguero it turned out to be a great experience. The cabins are comfy and simple, the food is plentiful and good and the guides knowledgeable. We were able to see sloths, monkeys, and caimans. A huge iguana lives at one of the pools and will...

We loved our two night, three day stay in Laguna Lodge! First and foremost we had an awesome guide, Alex Araya, who spoke fluent English, attended to any special requests we had, and he had incredible knowledge of the wildlife flora and fauna. The rooms are cabin-style and rustic, but very clean. The grounds of the Lodge are lovely and...

Horizontes Nature Tours booked us into this lovely eco-lodge. You transfer there by bus then boat. Great journey. Alex Araya, a guide from Tortuguero National Park, picked up our group in San Jose. Fantastic wildlife viewing despite (because of perhaps) torrential downpours - If they offer you rain ponchos accept them :-) The excellent sharp-eyed guides showed us a sloth...

The hotel has beautiful gardens and is right next to the beautiful beach. The rooms are clean and the food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was good! The trip to Tortuguero was amazing! We saw so many animals and the guide was able to give us a lot of information on wildlife in this park. If you go to Costa Rica,...

An amazing 2 nights and 3 days spent here. We went on the 0530 tour - pouring with rain, then not, then pouring (you get the picture). We saw iguanas, Jesus Christ lizards, caiman, capuchin mobiles. Then after breakfast out again. Spider and howler monkeys. More caiman. Toucans, so many birds. We also went kayaking which was amazing. My recommendation...

For the second year in a row we had an amazing stay at Laguna Lodge. We started from San Jose and were picked up by a smaller shuttle and taken to meet up with the rest of the group on the bus. We met our guide (actually, re-met, as we coincidently had the same guide last year) Mario Davis. Mario...
