My wife and I have made 8 trips to Costa Rica in 7 years and this was by far the best place we've been. Saladero Ecolodge is not just "eco" in name, but totally "eco" in practice as well. First class service from everyone, especially...More

We stayed at Saladero at the beginning of the rainy season in July. If you're worried about the weather during this time of year - don't be! We would recommend everyone to travel during the rainy period - less crowds and it cools down nicely...More

The rains start coming in May and so many of the tour companies start to shut down..its the beginning of low season... but its beautiful ..its called the green season! it is often sunny in the morning to afternoon and then some showers (some heavier then others!)
then it clears away and the sun shines again. Its not a cold rain, unless your in the Mountains, and then its quite a bit cooler
because of the rains the rivers are running off into the ocean, the visibility is much less snorkeling in may. hope this helps
