We stayed here for three nights as part of a package with Danta Corcovado Lodge, arranged through the lodges themselves and what a wonderful place to end our trip to Costa Rica. From the moment Harvey met us on the beach with his boat and took us on a lovely ride across the glass smooth Golfo Dulce to Saladero where...

Our days at Saladero had a relaxed rhythm punctuated by Susan's delicious meals. We easily fell into the habit of going to sleep at dark and waking with the sunrise. There is good snorkeling, and you can see all kinds of fish and sea turtles right from your kayak or paddle board. The Beach House is spacious, comfortable with ocean...

We liked every minute of our stay with two very warm and highly knowledgeable hosts. This included fishing for dinner on the way to the lodge. The two women local staff and Susan and Harvey never failed to do a great job in the kitchen. The two local men of the staff made a difference, too. The outdoor shower is...

Susan and Harvey are very warm and welcoming hosts. The meals are delicious. I loved that Saladero is entirely solar-powered and that much of the food is grown on the Lodge grounds. Also appreciated very much the collaboration by Susan and Harvey with environmental scientists and Costa Rica Parks officials. Lovely rain forest walks available just off the property, lots...

Went glamping with my partner and some friends at Saladero in mid March. Harvey and Susan are excellent, hands on hosts. The meals were AMAZING, we caught pargo (snapper) fishing right off the shore, went kayaking and paddle boarding, swimming, bird watching, hiking the beautiful trails... I highly recommend this experience to all nature lovers and environmentalists - even those...

We had a great time at Saladero, thanks Harvey and Adam. I hope I can meet Susan next time. Never have I felt so at home so quickly. Meals felt like a family dinner! A perfect laid-back mellow atmosphere. Kayaking, snorkelling, fishing, bird-watching, hammock relaxing, it was all there. Thanks to Robert for all the fresh fish. I will definitely...

We had an amazing time in the most remote eco lodge I have been to. Saladero is located in a primary forest, in the heart of a private national park and right in front of the ocean. Harvey and Susan are the best hosts you will ever meet. A wide range of activities are available and included in your night...

Each visit to Saladero gets better! I wondered if there was any way that our 7th and longest visit to Saladero Eco Lodge could top the others, and it did! Accommodations and meals are fantastic! Imagine a remote tropical paradise away from all city noises, filled with migrating butterflies flying overhead, dolphins, plentiful fish, many birds (macaws, toucans and an...

Saladero is a gem! Accessible only by boat, Saladero is set in primary forest: a remote, tranquil, beautiful, place with comfortable accommodation and wonderful hosts. We did lots of bird watching, had a wonderful kayaking trip into remote parts of the Esquinas river mangrove tidal wetland, swam and snorkeled in the Golfo Dulce, and walked Saladero-maintained trails in the Piedras...
