Stayed here for 2 nights with life long friends. Met 3 amazing people who we spent the rest of our trip with. Clean rooms, good food, great location. Loved this place so much. People are so friendly. Pura Vida!!

A lot of people complain about the lack of amenities but come on people, it's a hostel! If you want private bathrooms and ocean views, go to a hotel! Backpackers was everything we needed it to be, for a decent price. $50 dollars a night for a full bed and AC in a clean room. The front desk was extremely...

What a disappointment this place was! We are a family of three and our tiny windowless room in this hostel was $75 US a night! Never in my life have I paid so much for a hostel and our room wasn't the least bit nice. There were no windows, it smelled like chlorox bleach, and the bathroom was down the...

Well positioned for the National Park, just a short bus ride. We passed quite a few hostels on the way between quepos and Manuel Antonio that were greater than walking distance from anything useful but this one has two supermarkets within striking range and even a cash machine if you walk a little further (Please note you can only pay...

unfriendly staff, moisy dorm, wild nature around is nice but if an attempt was made to embed the facilities in an harmonic way, it was not successful. You can hear the noise from the road. You must take a bus to the park or 30 minutes walk along the road. Breakfast included: pancakes and coffee, but I never ate such...

The pool was a bitt dirty though. The service of the staff was excellent, good info and help with all our issues. But the price you pay...

When I was here they were doing some pretty major construction works (October 2015), which meant a lot of noise and the kitchen not being available too much. That being said, it was a decent place to be with basic facilities. The pool looked very depressing and I didn't see anyone going there

Ok.. so I really liked this place, but... The people were cool. The front desk staff were great. Great crowd. Good common area. Good location. Affordable. However, I stayed 2 nights and there is a gentleman who works there I caught blatantly and red handed standing outside the window to the dorm I was staying in with a female friend...
