We didn't stay here but visited for the day, and wish we had stayed here. It's a traditional quality hotel, a gated Spanish country house look, with lovely 3 pools a lovely sunken pool bar. The shop was also good, a comprehensive range of local artefacts for presents. Food and staff were great here too, with half live music in...

The hotel is wonderful. We enjoyed our stay including the clean spacious rooms as well as the swimming pool and other amenities, All the folks in the staff were so helpful. Unfortunately I do not have a list of names of all those who helped but the front desk staff deserve a special thanks for helping me track down a...

We stayed at the El Parador Dec 18 to Dec 23. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. We were offered an upgrade to the suites and we were amazed at how spacious and beautiful the rooms were. Two balconies with views that were breathtakingly beautiful. The staff were all so eager to please and always friendly....

We stayed for 5 days with a party of 8 in 4 rooms. Everyone truly enjoyed this gorgeous hotel and property. We booked on hotwire. It's a massive property including several buildings, three pools, a nature/monkey walk, and two restaurants. On the first morning of our stay, two rooms in were close proximity to a noisy construction project on the...

Thanks so much for your detailed review! We're glad we were able to take care of the room issues—we're putting the final touches on upgrades for our guests to enjoy before high season gets into full swing so we have our construction guys going full tilt. We loved everything about this resort! The staff was amazing! We booked several excursions from them and were more than satisfied with the results. I highly recommend their guided tour of Manuel Antonio Reserve. Also, their cocktails are great! They use lots of fresh fruits and ingredients in them. The room was clean and pleasant with gorgeous views.

Parador is very good hotel, great room (we stay in suite), astonishing views and excellent service. The only problem is lack of access to the ocean. They have path going to small beach, but it is unpaved and muddy. It was not bad to go down but 15 min up the hill in the mud ruin all beach experience. They...

Dear Guest, Thanks for your review! The hotel is built on the top of a cliff, which gives us amazing views but no real beachfront, so we do take advantage of the quite cove at Biesanz just down the road. Being at the end of said road definitely helps with the privacy factor that many guests prefer, but happily the...

I had some doubts about this place as I was afraid it would be too much of a "generic fancy hotel / resort" but that was not at all the case. They have done a great job of incorporating the natural environment. There are loads of trees and local flora, which results in lots of wildlife. There are lizards all...
