Stayed in the CV II overlooking the adults only pool and a spectacular view of the ocean. The room was fabulous, lots of fans and AC when desperate. Be watchful of the beds- they are made of a beautiful carved wood but on the first...More
Beautiful hotel and property with amazing ocean views. Lots of monkeys just a few feet away from our porch. Located a couple of miles from the Manuel Antonio National Park and the beach. Service is very good. Nice large room with a big private porch....More
This is a truly Costa Rican Hotel, and it's location directly on the beach is perfect. The people who work here are so nice, and so accommodating, especially Raul at the front desk and Maria around the rooms, and the maintenance guy who will show...More
Staying at Hotel Costa Verde was a wonderful experience.

I have been to a few South American Hotels, the hotel is a nice peaceful getaway. Excellent scenery. Warm and helpful staff. Good healthy breakfast with your stay. I will definitely return and I recommend this place to any in Costarica

We stayed in c-15 - it was in the 'adults only' building which is called CV 2. I would recommend any room in that building for quiet and not too close to the road. If you can swing the top floor - the views are epic, but as well any of the ocean-facing rooms in that building had spectacular views! Not sure where the A bungalows are, but there might be a map of the property online?
Enjoy your stay - we loved it there! SO many monkeys!!

It looks like this answer is very late but may help others: My wife religiously drank bottled water and I always drank water served in a glass in restaurants during our two week trip around Costa Rica. We both washed our teeth with tap water. Neither of us had any issues. The places we ate and drank were mostly resorts and your experience may vary depending on your level of immersion in non-resort experiences. It would be interesting to know what the situation was where the RPN at Passport Health developed their advice. I suggest that you will do fine if you evaluate each food and drink situation and act accordingly, just like you do in the USA. Enjoy!
