Rustic hostel with great vibe, great people, breakfast included, and a pool! It was overall a great stay. However, the Wi-Fi really sucks! I'm not one to be on my phone all the time while traveling, but many times I wanted to communicate with people I met to get drinks and go exploring and couldn't. The wi-fi barely works, even...

We had an lovely, comfortable room with private bath at the Plinio B & B, adjacent to their hostel. From the time we checked in until our departure 4 days later, the staff was helpful and attentive to all our needs. There was delicious typical breakfast every morning; good housekeeping everyday; tour arrangements with the best local guides; lots of...

My family and I stayed at the bed&breakfast 200 meters down the road from the main hostel. The place is quiet, clean, and nicely decorated. There is a housekeeper who comes from the main site to prepare a wonderful breakfast. There is a kitchen for all to share - with a refrigerator, stove, kitchen utensils, and open seating area. The...

We stayed at the b and b down the road from the hostel. Although the building looked a big messy the inside was lovely. The rooms were well done with air conditioning and a TV. Traditional breakfast included. Thanks all staff. Pretty garden too.

Hotel Plinio was perfect! We were lucky enough to stay in Room 4 which was a private suite with two sofas to relax, air conditioning, a sink a small fridge. The quality of the towels and bedding was top quality. It is a great room if want a bit of luxury, and exceeded our expectations. The building is well designed...

We stayed in a private room with a bathroom just near enough! The room was very clean, no bugs could come in, witch I really appreciated !! The kitchen is nice and open on the outside, and the chilling place near the reception was very comfy (we were reading there during the rainy afternoon ). I recommend this hostel that...

We booked the Deluxe Private Ensuite not knowing exactly what "Deluxe" meant. Upon arriving, we were taken in a golf cart up to the sister bed and breakfast about 150 meters away. Our room was part of a beautiful home that had a lovely backyard and an even nicer room. There was a brand new bed, AC, and a bathroom...

Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. We had monkeys, toucans and other visitors every morning during breakfast. They love the trees outside of this property. We were also thrilled to be up in the crows nest watching a flock of Scarlet Macaws arrive to roost in the top of the tree just in front of us! Amazing. We saw more...

This was an amazing place to stay. The day we got there, a troop of monkeys passed through, right through the trees by the breakfast area making a huge racket, it was thrilling. Also on the first day, and every day after, a tree right outside our window was populated by a pair of Aracaris, a type of Tucan. We...

Great customer service, staff was super friendly. It is a bit far away from the beach but you can take a bus. Breakfast was very delicious and it was decent sized. I would definitely come back to Plinio Hostel.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hostel Plinio is one of the newest additions to the hostel scene in Manuel Antonio and is located in one of the original hotel/restaurant properties in the area. Plinio is quickly becoming one of the highest rated and most in demand hostels in the area! A fully equipped hostel with a large refreshing pool, tour desk, wi-fi, a delicious restaurant and bar, and a common kitchen. Guests enjoy having everything they need on location and the staff at Plinio strive to make the hostel a relaxing, tranquil, all inclusive experience. It is an excellent choice for travelers wishing to steer away from the party youth hostels and experience many of the comforts and ascetics of a rustic hotel with the communal atmosphere and prices of a hostel. Located on the main road between Quepos and Manuel Antonio Beach, Plinio is a great location for travelers seeking easy transportation to the main attractions without the hustle and bustle of being in the city center. With a bus stop located just outside the main entrance, the beach is a quick 10 minute ride away.Every room at Plinio has an ocean view. Including the dorms! And each include a breakfast of fruit, bread and coffee each morning.Accommodations range greatly. Backpackers may choose from 2 different types of dorms, the standard and the deluxe. Both types have two out door patios, their own bathroom, and plenty of space. But for a few dollars more per night, the deluxe dorm includes hot water, a private living room, and only houses 5 people. Upgrading to the deluxe dorm is first come first serve and can only be booked at the Hostel if there is availability. No matter which dorm you choose, you will not be disappointed! ... more   less
