we had originally planned to stay for 3 nights but ended up staying for 6 nights instead. pros: - very friendly and helpful owner Carlos and his friends! - free tomatoes, red pepper, coffee and tea in the morning and discounted pastas for us - super comfy bed (think it's ergonomic?) - nice cooling air conditioner - small table and...

For $35 for just me for 5 nights I had a room with a private bath, a/c, tv, fridge, table and chairs, wifi that worked in the room and free coffee and tea in the morning. I would consider this is a budget hotel. It is a little older and could use some work. They were fixing the place up...

No frills hotel. Reasonable rates. Dated but clean and efficient. Nicely positioned on the edge of the tiny village centre of montezuma. Unintimidating Pacific stop off. Carlos, the owner, an absolute gentleman!! Slightly cheesy backpacker/hippy community in town and dreadful shopping to boot.

It was a very good good hotel for a great price. The ac worked well, which was a huge plus. Also it is off the main road, so very quite, but still very close to downtown. The staff was very friendly, and helpful with local info. I stayed three nights, and thoroughly enjoyed my time.

Stayed at the Montezuma Pacific hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is simple - AC, beds, bathroom. There is hot water and it is well lit and quiet. Not a super delux, but not a hostel / backpackers. Like everyone else has mentioned, the reason to come is for the hospitality. Don Carlos embodies Tico culture of openness and friendliness....

I really wanted to write this review as Carlos the owner highly deserves it. The hotel is cute, quiet, ideally located 2 min from the beach and restaurants, very clean, with good wifi and coffee / tea in the morning. But the hilight of the place is definitely the people running it. My heart is beaming from that much kindness...

We had a wonderful time staying at the Pacific hotel. Carlos is an excellent host, who provides most useful information and advice. And as we stayed for a couple of days, we even were allowed to use the kitchen to prepare our own dinner and breakfast. Awesome! Everything you need is a stone throw away and still this is a...

We stayed at Montezuma Pacifico for 2 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotelrooms are really simple and wont impress you but they are great for the price of 50 dollar per double room. They also include AC and fridge which is totally needed in the Costa Rican heat. Carlos, the super friendly and always smiley and helpfull...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for what ended up being four nights - we arrived in Montezuma expecting to leave after a day or two but loved the town and the hotel so much that we decided to stay longer. The owner is fantastic. He's always around and is so willing to help. He even booked our hotel for...

(I am posting this for my sister and her husband, Leslie and Dino Lampron. This is his account.) We highly recommend this hotel for its location and charm, but more importantly for getting to know Carlos, the friendly and helpful owner-manager. March 2015 was our second stay. After a major fall Carlos drove us more than an hour to a...
