We stayed in Montezuma only one night but would have loved to have stayed longer. Luna Llena has the most special atmosphere and the staff were so friendly and helpful. So many lovely touches and a stunning view too.

We shared a 4 bed room with another duo and payed $13,75 pp - GREAT deal for this place! Built beautiful on a hill side, eather from your room or from the communal lounge you can see the sea and jungle. Monkeys above us, armadillo while brushing my teeth. Nice big kitchen you can use for cooking. 100% recommendable

Luna Llena Hotel is a youth hostel... so if you’re looking for a nice private room with a private bathroom, I would recommend you to look elsewhere. We had the room 6 – double room with private bathroom – for which we paid 65 USD per night, a fortune for what it is! The bathroom was teeny tiny and not...

We stayed one night at Luna Llena. The surroundings were beautiful. There is a great ocean view and the rooms on the upper levels are right at treetop level. We had a private room with a queen bed and a shared bathroom. The room was fan-cooled, which worked out okay. We had options to open the windows and let in...

This is a beautiful place to spend the day and hangout, however, the hostel does leave a bit to be desired. The staff are often quite unhelpful and even rude. They insisted upon doing work with power tools at 8 am twice during my 4 day stay. Overall, though, the hostel met my expectations.

My wife and I have returned to Montezuma 4 times now and for our recent vacation we tried out Luna Llena. There are some who complain that this hotel is a pain because it is NOT located on the flat main drag of the town, it is instead up the road where you have to walk up a steep incline...

Luna Llena is a wonderful place to stay. I had a private room for one night which was great and a bed in the dorm for two subsequent nights. The owner was really helpful, advising me on future travel plans which I found helpful.

This place was just what we were hoping for. The price for a private room (with a sea view) was great, and the hotel has a great, social common area. We met lots of fun people here, and bumped into a few of them again around Costa Rica. Rooms were clean and spacious, as were the bathrooms, and the kitchen...

Loved this place. Very accommodating. We arrived and our room was not ready so they upgraded us. Yes the internet was in and out and the shower/toilet situation isn't the most comfortable but the atmosphere/price/friendliness off the people more than make up for any short comings. Very clean rooms. Mango trees all over the place and a short walk to...

This was a nice hostel just up a short but steep hill as you leave Montezuma. It has a nice sea view and has visits from monkeys and agoutis in the grounds. The dorm was OK but nothing special. There is a lock on the door but no room to store all your bags. There is however a small locker...
