I've traveled many places all around the world but I have to say Carate might be the best place i've ever been too all thanks to the Lookout Inn and their incredible staff. If you love the outdoors and appreciate the environment this is the place for you. It is a long, bumpy road to get to the hotel but...

I highly recommend the Lookout Inn to anyone looking for an adventure with family friendly service. There is so much to do and see here. the good ole bumpy ride thru the jungle--rivers and farms -- all so part of the adventure --and i think the best tour here at the lodge is early morning kayak or canoe the wild lagoon only 22 minute beach walk --and just a reminder to future guests we are off the grid there is no town -- no gas...

We stayed in two rooms; Honey Moon Suite and Blue Butterfly. Just an incredible experience that one could see on the faces of all 4 of us after 4 nights at the Lookout Inn. It's a trip we will remember forever. Terry & Katya and their entire staff; Esteban, Andi, and Liyana were so courteous and helpful the entire time....

The localisation and The national park are Amazing, you Will be able to see a lot of animals! Just returned from a 6 night stay at Lookout (55 yr. old father with my 18 yr. old daughter). Originally planned for this stay during her March break; however due to health reasons the trip was cancelled.
