Wonderful remote setting adjacent to the Corcovado National Park, accessible only by 2 hour trip in an open boat through mangrove forests and open sea with 'wet' landing on rocky beach followed by tractor-drawn cart 1000m up a steep hill. Beautiful eco-hotel; lodges are attractively furnished and spread out over extensive gardens . Energy from renewable sources so no air-conditioning...

My husband and I stayed at Casa Corcovado Jungle a week ago and had the amazing opportunity to stay for six days. We could have easily stayed longer and hope to return. This location is very unique and very worth the trip and every penny spent. We feel fortunate to have experienced such a slice of heaven and have missed...

Just Wow! I've been to Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge a hand full of times now. And every time I leave wanting more. If you're looking for adventure, unforgettable memories, good people look no further, Casa Corcovado is the place. Its a trip getting out there, (Air / Land / Sea) however situated right next to the National Park amongst thousands...

Wow, thanks for a great review and for the Wow! As I have said before it is a great compliment when we have guests return to Casa Corcovado and especially when they return multiple times. Thank you, we will keep trying to do our best with Blood, Sweat and Tears and pretty good Margaritas. Steven Lill owner/founder

Wonderful location, secluded to the point of being isolated but with most 'mod cons' except tv and, most importantly for some, air conditioning, resulting in incessant fairly oppressive damp heat. Rooms are large and perhaps best described as being 'Old Colonial' in style - imagine a hill station bungalow in early 20th century India. Hot water, although promised, was in...

We will keep working, because just short of paradise is not good enough. We do always work for 100% satisfaction and hope for ''Paradise''. I know that air conditioning would be nice at times but is just not possible in our remote, off the grid location. The recommendation to order beers to be brought down to the picnic area beforehand...

We have a general rule of not visiting the same place twice, but we might make an exception for Casa Corcovado. After a short flight in a small plane you transfer to a speedboat which takes you along a river and then out to sea. When you arrive you have to climb out of the boat and on to the...

It is a great compliment when guests are considering a return visit. I know that the world is a big and beautiful place and there are many fantastic places to see so I am complimented. I am very pleased that these clients had such a good time with us. I hope that they have a chance to come back and...

I think in order to fully appreciate my review on Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge, you need to see the James Cameron movie Avatar from 2009. Being in Casa Corcovado does mean being precisely in the Jungle. I will start telling our experience from the very beginning. In order to go to Casa Corcovado, you are required to fly either to...

Thank you very much, such a sweet thing to say. I really was rather touched. I actually started signing a song based on " I Left My Heart In San Fransico ''. I'm still working out some of the words, lyrics, to my version to the song but somehow I don't think it's going to be a big hit. Thank...

Our adventure began with the flight from San Jose to Palmar - the tiny airplane was thrilling for my kids and provided an amazing aerial introduction to the land. At the boat dock in Sierpe, we met Alonso, our Casa Corcovado guide, who provided a lively narration as we headed up river and through Mangrove swamps. Alonso was in constant...

If you need good wifi dont bother. This is a fantastic lodge in the middle of a reserve reachable by a high speed boat trip of 1:40. You will need good sun and rain protection for the boat trip as well as the tours , the landing is wet requiring you to slip off the boat into the waves and...

I am happy to hear that these guests would return even though they were not completely happy with all of the details at the Lodge. Casa Corcovado has many times been described as ''Paradise'' but not really for wifi users. There is limited wifi in the immediate area of the office that works about 90% of the time and at...

A delightful location with great buildings BUT it lacks management, flexibility and sympathy towards customers. The restaurant produces tasty food but service is a shambles, for example too few staff, coffee is put out in jugs at, say, 06.00 and if you arrive at say 07.30 the coffee is lukewarm. This is the only place you can get coffee, our...

It's very disappointing that this clients trip to ''paradise'' was spoiled by what he felt to be bad management. I apologize for any lack of flexibility and for not being able to schedule tours to meet this guests needs. It is very unusual that a bird tour can not be arranged for just about any morning so I do feel...

While it takes some doing to get here, we felt it was one of the best places we visited while in Costa Rica. First a small plane ride from San Jose, then an incredible boat ride down a huge river and into the ocean, and suddenly the boat pulls up to the jungle. Such fun. After getting ashore, we climbed...

Thanks for such a nice review, I'm glad you had such a good time and would like to return someday. It is a great place for families to spend time together without constant internet and discos. Everyone gets to do challenging activities together and have some good stories to tell afterwards. The small size of the hotel also makes it...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set above a palm-fringed beach in tropical gardens, and surrounded by 170 acres of pristine rainforest, Casa Corcovado is the ultimate combination of luxurious comfort and adventure - a place where you can spot big cats on jungle trails, have an entire beach to yourselves, snorkel with manta rays, and relax with a gin and tonic by the pool. The tranquil hilltop setting means awe-inspiring views and the best of the both ocean and rainforest breezes. The lovely bungalows are spaced throughout the lush garden for maximum peace and privacy. Casa Corcovado offers the closest accommodation to Corcovado National Park, the crown jewel of Costa Rica's extraordinary, world-renowned national park system.
