The Casa Corcovado Jungle lodge is a wonderful place to stay to have a relaxing and luxurious stay in the Costa Rican Jungle. Everyone working at the lodge works incredibly hard and they are such lovely kind and thoughtful people. I want to thank Steve, Danny, Jose, Kevin, Jacob and team for making my 4 night stay a great experience....

Stayed here for three days recently , flight from San Jose curtesy of Sansa air , short drive and then a 90 min trip by boat from mangrove forest to open sea and a wet landing . Bungalow in a great location with lots of birds around it , toucans , nightjars , humming birds and a tapier that scared...

I'm not sure why we put alarm clocks in our Bungalows when we have the Howler monkeys. Now that I think of it I maybe don't need my gardener as the Tapir seems to be doing a good job of trimming the garden. The Tapir, the biggest animal found in our tropical forest, thinks that I have made the worlds...

This is a 4 star facility that charges 4 star prices but has 2.5 star service. Great location, wonderful bungalows, very intimate there were 14 bungalows but only half were occupied, and lots of wildlife opportunities. We saw a tapir in front of our bungalow, resident Macaws, parrots and Trogons. Nice sunset bar. Food was average and non-local so not...

I'm sorry that these guests had a less than perfect stay with us at the hotel, though I am glad that they did get to see some wildlife and enjoyed our Sunset Bar. Our wifi at times can be tricky as it comes through a satellite phone system. We are working with the provider to try and increase the speed...

Wonderful remote setting adjacent to the Corcovado National Park, accessible only by 2 hour trip in an open boat through mangrove forests and open sea with 'wet' landing on rocky beach followed by tractor-drawn cart 1000m up a steep hill. Beautiful eco-hotel; lodges are attractively furnished and spread out over extensive gardens . Energy from renewable sources so no air-conditioning...

My husband and I stayed at Casa Corcovado Jungle a week ago and had the amazing opportunity to stay for six days. We could have easily stayed longer and hope to return. This location is very unique and very worth the trip and every penny spent. We feel fortunate to have experienced such a slice of heaven and have missed...

Just Wow! I've been to Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge a hand full of times now. And every time I leave wanting more. If you're looking for adventure, unforgettable memories, good people look no further, Casa Corcovado is the place. Its a trip getting out there, (Air / Land / Sea) however situated right next to the National Park amongst thousands...

Wow, thanks for a great review and for the Wow! As I have said before it is a great compliment when we have guests return to Casa Corcovado and especially when they return multiple times. Thank you, we will keep trying to do our best with Blood, Sweat and Tears and pretty good Margaritas. Steven Lill owner/founder

Wonderful location, secluded to the point of being isolated but with most 'mod cons' except tv and, most importantly for some, air conditioning, resulting in incessant fairly oppressive damp heat. Rooms are large and perhaps best described as being 'Old Colonial' in style - imagine a hill station bungalow in early 20th century India. Hot water, although promised, was in...

We will keep working, because just short of paradise is not good enough. We do always work for 100% satisfaction and hope for ''Paradise''. I know that air conditioning would be nice at times but is just not possible in our remote, off the grid location. The recommendation to order beers to be brought down to the picnic area beforehand...

We have a general rule of not visiting the same place twice, but we might make an exception for Casa Corcovado. After a short flight in a small plane you transfer to a speedboat which takes you along a river and then out to sea. When you arrive you have to climb out of the boat and on to the...

I think in order to fully appreciate my review on Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge, you need to see the James Cameron movie Avatar from 2009. Being in Casa Corcovado does mean being precisely in the Jungle. I will start telling our experience from the very beginning. In order to go to Casa Corcovado, you are required to fly either to...

Thank you very much, such a sweet thing to say. I really was rather touched. I actually started signing a song based on " I Left My Heart In San Fransico ''. I'm still working out some of the words, lyrics, to my version to the song but somehow I don't think it's going to be a big hit. Thank...

Our adventure began with the flight from San Jose to Palmar - the tiny airplane was thrilling for my kids and provided an amazing aerial introduction to the land. At the boat dock in Sierpe, we met Alonso, our Casa Corcovado guide, who provided a lively narration as we headed up river and through Mangrove swamps. Alonso was in constant...
