It's really cheap and fanny the owner is a really good person. She lets us use her kitchen and when we were cooking she talked with us a lot, explaining us about the area and the national park. When she saw how dirty was my towel she offered to wash it for free, just to be nice. The rooms are... More

Nice place, feels like a homestay the family that lives here are friendly. For $20 the double room was nice, the kitchen is well equipped and the wifi worked well. In the centre of town, walking distance from the bus stop, very close to the supermarket.

Probably one of the cheapest hostels in puerto jimenez is run by a very welcoming lady. Rooms are upstairs which are somewhat small but had a clean and big bathroom. Bring your mosquito net as they are plenty of them. Located in close proximity of the bus station and the city center

Fanny welcomed us very friendly. The room was small and basic but had a private bathroom and came with a mosquito net. We could use Fanny's kitchen to cook and make coffee. Fanny shared her home made bread and some nice stories with us. We enjoyed her company a lot. Also cheapest place in town.

Don't expect luxury but at $7 per night you can't go wrong! I worked near Puerto Jimenez for 4 months and we got discounted rates and Fanny's so nearly always stayed there. You usually have to fight your way through the washing hanging up and yell "hola Fanny" into the house to get her attention. The essence of Fanny Lu's... More

We really loved it. The rooms were cheap and nice. The lady who rented the room we liked most, because she asked us several times if we would like to eat what she cooked and she made a really good price for the laundry. It was very nice to meet such a friendly and honest person.

I stayed at Fanny Lu's for an extened period of time...just over two months. It allowed me to live rather cheaply. Private rooms start at 3 mil colones/$6 US and don't get more that $10; $10, i think, is the cheapest you'll find any other hostel in P. Jimenez. You get access to the kitchen and fridge. And you get... More
