We highly recommend Danta Corcovado Lodge! The staff is so warm and friendly. The included breakfast blew my mind. It was full service with many choices, fresh brewed coffee, fruit juice and a fruit plate to start. We had three suppers while there and all were delicious. We really enjoyed our night hike and our day trip to Corcovado National...

Spent only two days with college students on a study abroad, wished we had more time to explore the grounds. Individual reservations were individual bungalows which could accomodate a couple of a family. Most bungalows nestled in the woods with large bathrooms with open air ceilings and bedroom area sealed off except for a thick mesh curtain which could be...

In the midst of tropical rainforest on the edge of the Corcovado National Park, it is a wonderful experience to stay at a lodge that really has got it right. The rooms are spacious, comfortable with all the necessities and luxuries one would want and yet are private enough to have shy and difficult to see species lurking off the...

Danta was the second stop of our first visit to Costa Rica. My son and I stayed at Danta for three nights, after four nights at Saladero Eco Lodge, for the second half of a birding holiday. The staff welcomed us warmly from the moment we stepped off the boat and continued to meet every need throughout our stay. The...

Stayed for one night (sadly not longer) and was so impressed with the place. It's remote but still has a great atmosphere. The cabins, and actually the whole place, have been planned with great detail. I recommend the igloo cabin. The outdoor bathroom is so great. The place is pretty much in the forest and has paths throughout. The food...

We spent 4 nights at Danta and it lived up to the very favourable reviews. The highlight was viewing the 2 Red Eyed Tree Frogs on our first night hike with the talented guide, Jido. We did the day trip into Corcovado (same guide, Jido) and had many memorable encounters. He proved to have a wealth of knowledge about the...

Are you looking for a nice vacation near the shore in Costa Rica, but not another resort swamped with tourists? Close to the jungle with lots of wildlife? A real sense of Costa Rican life and culture? We found it at Danta Corcovado. This small lodge is located on the beautiful Osa Penninsula, owned and managed by a local Costa...

Great Lodges in the Jungle with open bathroom. Very clean. You sleep in your own private lodge with hammock on the balcony and in the middle of the jungle. You hear the animals - it is amazing! Own hiking trails and also arranging tours to Corcovado national park. The staff asks for your preferences for food. Everybody is friendly and...

The rooms are in a lovely rainforest setting. You feel completely amongst the forest with birds really close (saw great tinamou from the room!). The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. We spent a blissful Christmas morning in the hammock on our terrace. The rooms are arranged so that you very private and not overlooked. Staff are really friendly and...

Loved everything about this place. I stayed in a lodge with a friend and it was a good mix of "getting in touch with nature" and still having the comfort of a toilet. Our lodge did not have four walls, one wall was a tarp that opened up to the beautiful forest where there were monkeys! I was skeptical at...
