I stayed here for 3 nights with my grown daughter and 12-year old niece, and we had a wonderful time. The cabin was rustic but clean and comfortable, and the food was excellent - lots of fresh, locally grown fruits and veggies. Our guide Jairo was great - he took us on a night walk to see rainforest creatures like...

Not worth the price. Stayed at Paloma and Lapa Rios before, they were much better. No car, and you pay big bucks for pickups. Food is well presented but pricey for CR and you are stuck there. Not many animals if it's very hot. Loved the people though. Won't go back, sorry.

2.5 km from the tarred road lies this gem of a place. The bungalows are quirky but impressive - 2 beds inside and an artistic bathroom. The rooms had a porch for relaxing either on an individual bench or lounging in the hammock, feeling as if you are in the middle of the forest, surrounded by animals and other creatures!...

This is a neat hotel because you feel like the Flinstones. But the Danta in the title is misleading. LOCATION: We thought it's close to Corcovado, but it's not, unless you want to hike a LONG time. GROUNDS: Although it says Danta, there are no Tapirs here, and actually not that many animals compared to many other parts of the...

My husband and I stayed via Danta's package with the Saladero Lodge and would highly recommend it. It is not for people who want luxury in the traditional sense, however, for those who want to be immersed in nature, this is a fantastic spot. The package comes with a couple of tours of the jungle, one at night and one...

We had a wonderful adventure at Danta! We stayed in one of the bungalows nested away in the trees, absolutely loved the hammocks to rest in and watch the monkeys go by. It was very creative to line the bungalow's windows with mosquito nets as well as the the space between the walls and the ceiling - that way the...

We stayed in a villa and my mother in law stayed in a regular room in the main building. The villas were outstanding. On three sides they are “open” with only heavy mosquito netting for walls. Our porch faced a beautiful small winding river that snaked through the forest some 20 m in front of us. We had two full...

Our 3rd visit to Danta and we have booked again for next year. Our refurbished bungalow added a porch and hammock overlooking the forest: sleeping with the sounds of the jungle, waking to the tropical dawn chorus. We spent many hours walking Danta trails in primary and mature secondary forest -- watching active leks of orange-collared manakins and observing the...

Our newly refurbished cabin amongst the trees with two hammocks on the balcony was our luxurious home for two nights. The open air bathroom was well equipped and open to the trees at the back so you could bird watch whilst having a shower! The food was excellent served by friendly staff and the Imperial beer refreshingly cold. Nelson was...
