Found this last minute spot to be close to San Jose and not have to drive too far on our last day. Ocean views, great pool with a nice waterfall and wonderful staff. Owner Tony couldn't be nicer and bent over backwards to do anything for you. Very smart man too and had some great conversations about living in Cost...

I have been living in this zone for over a decade and revisit Las Brisas as often as I am in the Puerto. It is amazingly conveniently located and the entire neighborhood and seawalls are new or refurbished. It is safe, clean, modern and hospitable. The staff are genuinely honorable folks who remain a backbone of true tourism and hospitality....

My husband and I stayed two nights at this hotel. During our stay we meet the owner, who was pleasant and friendly. The hotel staff always wore a smile and were ready to take care of any need we may have. Our room and bathroom was clean and comfortable, and included TV and AC. The breakfast provided was very good...

We found ourselves driving through Puntarenas around time to stop for the night. Fortunately we came upon Hotel Las Brisas. The room was fairly large and clean with cooked breakfast included for $79 (US). The room had wall mounted AC, TV, and WiFi. We also ate dinner there; it was reasonably priced, used fresh ingredients, and was good.

I believe that the owner, Tony, is well intentioned. At least, I'd like to think so. However, the room we rented at Las Brisas recently left a lot to be desired. The room itself was quite clean. It had two beds in it. They were clean, though they were very close to the floor so you had to sort of...

He offered AND called a taxi since we were attending a wedding at Isla Tortuga in the evening AND it was pouring in Puntarenas. Advised us Of local surroundings. We had a fabulous experience there. I can't decide what was better: the pool (incredibly clean and very attractive), the restaurant (excellent breakfast, with good burgers, sandwiches, & spaghetti, and while the chicken cordon bleu is a bit different from what I was used to, I ordered it over and over again), or the proprietor of the hotel (who we...

My wife and I needed a quick get-away from the big city and landed for a night in Las Brisas (11/2/12). We took the advice of Trip Advisor bcause it was #1. Yes, we know that Puntarenas is not very appealing upon entering at the main highway! Patience. The avenue where Las Brisas is found is a nicer area. The...

We stayed here early last week for one night. One reviewer said it right that this only exists for the ferry overnighters. We were taking the ferry the next morning and we almost skipped it and jumped on the ferry but dusk was approaching and we didn't want to drive at night. Plus I would have felt bad since they...
