I was very disappointed with my stay at Villa Jacquelina given the good reviews it has. It is located 10-15min away from the city centre through an unpaved road that has no lights either, what makes it really hard if you want to go out for dinner. The rooms are quite basic. I booked a room with shared bathroom, the...

Hello, I am very sorry to hear about your negative experience with us at Villas Jacquelina. We pride ourselves in customer satisfaction so we take negative feedback very seriously. I am sorry you found our location to be a bit further out of town than you had expected. Most people love our location as the city of Quepos can seem...

We stayed in a room with 2 queens & a single bed with a private bath. There was a common area where a kitchen provided us the opportunity to cook our meals or we could walk into town 20 minutes and have delicious fresh catches like Sea Bass, Red Snapper or Ahi tuna. A taxi could be caught from the...

The owner and staff are really welcoming in the top floor reception. The lounge area has lovely views and comfortable seats. The kitchen is reasonable and the rooms are clean and well maintained. The small pool is a great start or end to a hot day.

If you are looking for a good looking, quiet, safe and inexpensive stay... this is the place to stay. The hotel rooms are basic but very nice, clean towels and bed linens. The rooms do not have A/C but have a fan which should be enough since it doesn't get hot inside the rooms. The rooms are private but with...

At the Villas Jaquelina we were very pleased with the friendliness of the owner and the staff itself. The service is outstanding. On the other hand we have been quite disappointed by the room we had. There were some dead bugs in the room when we arrived and the bedsheets and cushions were pretty worn out. I think the rooms...

Stayed here for nearly a week over high season. We had booked for a couple of nights but needed to extend our stay. They were really helpful and whilst we did have to move rooms twice they fitted us in. Rooms were a good size and clean, one bed (room 7 I think) had a very uncomfortable bed. The others...

We stayed for two nights at Villas Jacquelinas and just loved it. Steven, the American owner and his wife created a great place with simple and clean rooms. The chillout areas are spacious and wifi was always working. It takes about 20 min to the town center but ask Steven for a ride and he will get you anywhere. There...

Villas Jacquelinas has nice chill out areas, great views and a nice big kitchen (the best we encojntered during our 6mnth travels). When we were there, there was only one other couple, so we enjoyed the piece and quiet. It's a 20min walk to Quepos (from Quepos to the hotel, it can feel as quite a hot and long uphill...

Stayed here for two nights in a tent up the top. Very basic but we loved it. Nice breeze up there so cool enough to sleep at night. Peaceful sleeping listening to the rain on the roof and waking up to the birds and sunrise. Steve is very welcoming and helpful. Walk into town is only about ten mins.

My four girlfriends and I had originally booked this place for our last 3 nights in Costa Rica, but canceled in order to be closer to Manuel Antonio. BIG mistake. We had a miserable first night in a hostel on the main road into Manuel Antonio, due to thunderous traffic and horrible, stagnant heat with only a cheap, broken floor...
