Elegantly designed hotel with friendly and discrete service. The rooms are elegantly appointed with terra cotta tiled floors and simple but comfortable furnishings and have large balconies with table and chairs. The restaurant is airy and overlooks the secluded pool area. Service is friendly and efficient. The hallway between the rooms has very high ceilings with arched braces, giving a...

Modern, unique and fantastic service. I stayed one night at the Alta, but would definitely recommend to stay at least two nights. This is not a hotel you choose just for a stop-over in San Jose. The facilities, rooms, breathtaking night view of the city and the restaurant La Luz definitely make it the most romantic option around.

Just can't say enough good about this place. From the welcome from Francisco upon arriving, right through the whole experience, our impressions were very positive. The architecture is excellent and it also works. Of course there are elevators, but grouping the stairs in small clusters makes you feel you want to stroll through the hotel. Views from both rooms and...
