Hotel is very nice and clean. The staff is very nice and helpful. I didn't really like the area too much, it was farther away from the center of town, in a somewhat shady area to walk at night. But the staff will be happy to call a taxi for you if you need it. Also, I gave it 4...

Very nice, modern hotel in San Jose. Good location, but San Jose itself isn't that much to speak of. Rooms are big and clean. Included breakfast was very good and the hotel was able to arrange a driver for a shopping excursion into the Market area. Decent cocktail lounge for a nightcap.

We stayed at another hotel in San Jose prior to moving to Tryp. Tryp was a breath of fresh air. It is very clean, the personnel are pleasant and all bi-lingual ( I believe). The hotel is not immense and felt a little cozy. The restaurant downstairs has a good complimentary breakfast We also ate there for "Happy Hour" and...

Final 1 night stop as part of Grand Tour of Costa Rica. Clean and comfy with good en-suite. Very good breakfast. Visit to San Jose too short as up early to leave next morning. Usual characterless business hotel but staff friendly and helpful.

Great room with an AMAZING view of the mountains and the city! The spaciousness of the room was certainly remarkable. Excellent front desk service. I hope to stay here again, just a bit longer. The hotel seems to have great amenities.

We are a family of 5 and the hotel provided a very spacious suite with very good conditions! It even had board games for the children.. A 20 minute walk from the center which may be a little too much if you want to have dinner in the city center.

Stayed over night on way to Guancaste after a 7 day tour of Costa Rica. Lovely hotel, comfortable beds, quiet room and good breakfast. What more can you ask?! Short walk to good steak house (expensive apparently) and several fast food restaurants.

Nice, clean hotel with helpful staff. Not much to walk around to. We got back late from our coffee plantation tour and were starving but couldn't find anything decent that was close by to eat. The hotel itself was beautiful and they arranged an airport transfer for us. Overall, no complaints.

I stayed two different times over the last week with a tour in Costa Rica. The first room I had was much nicer than the second one. The second one was small and wasn't totally clean. However, the restaurant had great food and had nice staff. Also, the free wi-fi was good. One thing that would have been nice would...

We stayed at the Tryp Sabana for a total of 3 nights during a tour of Costa Rica and although it is not a "top quality" hotel, we found it to be totally fine for our needs. The first room (on the 4th floor) was quite big and we had a good sized shower too. The second room (on the...
