5 night in this hotel is WAY Tooooo long... nothing to write home about... dated place in bad/dangerous location at night, but that's how I would describe Ave Central and most of old San Jose... breakfast pretty good, but that's about it!

The staff here was incredibly accommodating and responsive to all of our needs. A special thanks to Jorge, who went above and beyond! The rooms have standard amenities, although we had to ask for a refrigerator. It arrived promptly and was already cooled down, which was nice. Breakfast was included and was outstanding, with omelets to order and plenty of...

I arrived in San Jose for work without knowing really what to expect. At first I was interested by the movement on the streets. The hotel is situated on a pedestrian street packed with shops and restaurants. After my check -in ,witch was very good and the people at the front desk where very nice and punctual at taking care...

Dear Skyroplane, Thank you for staying with us and reviewing our Hotel. I can testify to Mr. Trumpeter’s (Mr. Tuba actually) particular style of playing since back in the early 2000s my office used to be near the street and he’s been around for a very, very, very long time. Since then we installed sound proof windows in our guestrooms...

We had a clean, comfortable room with a king bed. The hotel is conveniently located on a pedestrian-only street in the center of town. Within walking distance are attractions such as the National Theater and Cathedral. Plenty of shops and restaurants are nearby. The breakfast was excellent, and included in the very reasonable nightly rate. There was a good bit...

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Presidente. I will agree with a few other reviewers that it was hard to find but once we found it we pulled up on a side street and ran in to ask what to do. They were very helpful and very accommodating. They really took care of everything. They handled parking, getting our...

Very centrally located hotel near lots of shopping and the market. Decent price and the rooms were very clean and included a safe. The wifi is free and available in the rooms as well as the lobby (not always the case I have found.) Breakfast is included and is very nice - huge spread of many different things. The staff...

Stayed here for one night en route back to US. It's centrally located, walking distance to market, restaurants, parks. Hotel has a free breakfast which is quite impressive- made to order omelets, fresh fruit, yogurt, cheeses, etc. Rooms are standard, very clean, bathrooms very clean, you get your usual soaps/shampoo/hairdryer. Water is drinkable (as it is in most of costa...

I spent my last night in Costa Rica at Hotel Presidente. It's located on a street that is only open to pedestrian traffic. Because of that, and the many one way streets in San Jose, it wasn't easy to locate by car. One there however, the staff are friendly, and very helpful. They took the time to answer questions and...

We only stopped over for one night at The Hotel Presidente at the beginning of our holiday to Costa Rica. The reception area is impressive and the rooms are big, modern and comfortable. It's really in the heart of things and makes a good base for exploring San Jose. Breakfast offered lots of choice and was tasty. There was a...
