This apartment/hotel is about 20-30 minutes from the airport in San José. It looks like a warehouse from the outside, but is really very nice once you get inside. We have stayed here many times and each time, the hotel is a welcome relief from the noise and congestion of the city. The location is just right. It's a quick...

My wife and I travelled to Costa Rica for a vacation / dental work. We had been to this country several times before. we usually stayed at some of the more well known hotels in San Jose . This time , however we desided to stay in an appartment, due to the fact that I was having dental surgery and...

We have stayed in El Sesteo, and it is a friendly and nice place to stay just outside the busy center of San Jose. You can park your car inside the carport. There is a beautiful garden with pool (we didnt go in but it looked good). Rooms are quite big, we had one with a kitchen, ful equiped. We...

I recently stayed in El Sesteo for several days when I was in San Jose for Dental treatment. The rooms are very clean, but a bit dreary. They are poorly lit, so it's hard to read. The pool area is nice, with lush landscaping. Only a few rooms have air conditioning, so you have to keep the windows open for...

This is simply an excellent hotel to choose if you're in San José, and I stay here every time I come to Costa Rica. The location is perfect (very centric), the tropical landscaping and outdoor pool are wonderful, and the prices are more than reasonable for a hotel of this quality. Above all, the staff is friendly, attentive, and will...

Hello, we checked into the El Sesteo last night after a very long flight from Canada...the staff were nice and though the rooms were pretty worn and tired it would have been okay...except that when my friend and I looked at the mattress we saw little brown bugs in the crevices! We know what bedbugs look like and that's what...

I stayed in Apartotel La Sabana, Apartotel Christina, and El Sesteo. All three hotels are clean, and have a very good customer service. Apartotels La Sabana and Christina located on the north side of La Sabana Park, and El Sesteo located on the south side. Apartotel La Sabana was probably my favorite, I loved a pretty pool area, and strong...

San Jose is a terrible city, avoid it as much as possible. Even if you are able to stay in one of the suburbs just outside the city you will be much better off. However, unfortunatly it is difficult to avoid the city all together since a lot of tours are based out of San jose and if you have...
