3 people I would like to recognize. I'm afraid I don't have names ... we arrived on the afternoon of Sunday 1/15/17. My travelling companion wanted to got to Palmera to a music festival. After we checked in we hit the front desk for help in getting there. The young woman on duty could not have been more helpful, pleasant...

The Adventure Inn is beautiful, simple eco-minded place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly helpful and kind. The food is yummy and good breakfasts full of delicious fruit. I stayed here every time I come to Costa Rica.

Our flight arrived late, the hotel had a shuttle waiting at the airport, we had a nice dinner in their restaurant, a great breakfast in the morning, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the service was awesome. I wish we could have stayed a few more days.

I stayed there in Oct.for a wedding and I like the fact that they will pick you up at the airport, as well as return you to the airport or give you a ride to bus station.Plus the free breakfast is to die for!!!!!

I had a horrendous 7 hour drive from the coast in the pouring rain and arrived feeling very sorry for myself and car sick! When I initially saw the hotel I thought, "Oh no it looks like a mexican cantina!". Howver the greeting I received from the receptionist and porter were second to none and was the best I had...

I know she meant well but I have no idea how she could even think that a modern, two storey fifty metre wide hotel front decorated with gardens and trees looks like a Mexican cantina. When you reserve through a booking engine, you are doing yourself a big disfavour, higher price, worse room, no airport shuttle information. Always contact us...

You can request a wake-up call through our 24 hour front desk if you need it. If you are leaving before our complimentary full buffet and hot ordered breakfast which is served from 6 to 10 am, you can give your breakfast tickets to the kitchen the night before if you wish and they will make you a little something...

Our flight to SJO was a day late due to volcanic activity and we were frustrated with cancellation charges and sunk costs, so decided to not pre-book for this night, The airport has no real information desk, so finding a place on short notice with a bad wifi connection was challenging, but we went with Adventure Inn because of the...

Because the big third party booking engines (who charge a 25% commission) and the big chain hotels both occupy the highest positions in the search engines, bumping little hotels to secondary pages where they are difficult to find, in 2005 my son Mike and I founded and still operate Adventure Hotels of Costa Rica (AHCR), a non-profit association of small...

A bit different (weird) but does the job. Reasonable price, includes breakfast and an airport shuttle. Make sure you check the shuttles availability the night before! Can't just show up in the morning. It's decor is a bit weird but I'd stay there again for the value. Dinner nights before was good, Mexican burger. Also craft beers. Air conditioners in...

I guess to some people, indigenous Costa Rican art whose style dates back thousands of years would be considered WEIRD, but with an open mind to learning, most people find it interesting that people with their sun god and animistic beliefs would create such telling works of art. Maybe stay at a chain hotel in Miami next time so you...
