The rooms are nice with ensuite bathrooms and free wifi. The host couple is fluent in English and go out of their way to make your visit pleasant and comfortable. They serve a great breakfast and are happy to arrange transport from/to the airport . KEH

This place is a great welcoming place to stay when coming to Costa Rica. The house is beautiful and the rooms are very clean. It is within walking distance to a main drag thru town where you will find some restaurants, grocery store and shops. The house is tucked away from traffic in a very peaceful setting. We like staying...

Who could have imagined a quaint two story cottage in the middle of a bustling city? Completely isolated from the noise of the city by beautiful floral gardens and tall trees. The perfect quintessential B & B. Xavier and Pilar will treat you like family and you’ll be pampered like a Prince. We often stay in San Jose. However, this...

The owner welcomed us and offered full hospitality in his beautiful home and splendid terrace and garden....we loved it and wished we could have stayed longer. The owner advised to have dinner at the nearby delicious Indian restaurant..

We were so delighted to find this gracious and fresh oasis just down the lane from a busy, bustling part of town. Cool porches, eclectic artifacts from Central American countries and the bright garden colors of the tropics, we've found a wonderful and restful home in San Jose from which to begin our holiday in Costa Rica. Host Xavier exuded...

When the hotel where I usually stay was fully booked, a friend recommended this place, and I was so glad that she did! Host Xavier was exceptionally friendly when I first called, and his kindness and hospitality just wouldn't quit. Just off a busy road, this place is an oasis of natural and architectural beauty. The gardens and multicolor exterior...

My fiancée and I felt very welcomed by the warmth and care of the hosts at Casa de la Tias. The space takes you away from the town feeling by its remoteness and beautiful gardens, (even though you are just around the corner of major streets and lots of restaurant options). We highly recommend the balcony room! Sweet veranda for...

We spent three nights with Pilar and Xavier and it was a real treat. There home is ideally set-up for a B&B including lot's of privacy when you need it. We stayed in their larger suite which we enjoyed. Great bed, great breakfast and great company. Their experience as hosts over the years really pays off. We'll be back!

My wife and I have just returned from Costa Rica. A few years ago we stumbled upon Casa de las Tias in Escazu. This charming B&B is our go to location whenever we are in the San Jose area. As a first or last night stay while travelling the country it can't be beaten!! They will pick you up at...
