My husband and I stayed 2 nights Jan 8th and 9th. I say excellent because we had done our research and knew what to expect for accommodations on the island in whole. Yes it was a bit shocking to see trash lying around but we saw the same stuff all over Belize in any non-touristy areas. Julie and AC were...

If you want a relaxing place to stay tobacco cayes is cheap, fun, good snorkeling off the beach so ticks all the boxes. Lana's is a great place except unfortunately the current caretaker AC ruined our experience by beating his girlfriend julie (they have a kid together) at night whilst a group of young students and ourselves tried to sleep....

After reading the positive reviews we were very disappointed with our stay at Lana's. For the price of US$70 per day ($35 per person) we expected much more. The rooms were basic and a bit grotty and the place was generally a bit of a mess (beer bottles and litter around the place etc). The place wasn't being run by...

Let me first say that I loved the island so much I decided to get married there! Lana planned everything and did a beautiful job. Seriously! She brought a minister to the island by boat, and made my wedding cake from scratch! Other than my wedding, the stay was unbelievable. Lana is like a mom, always thinking of her guests....

Yes a bit rustic , beautiful and Lana is the grandmother who spoils you. The island and the reef were well worth it. It is the ideal desert island with a few palm trees. Staff were vey fridley and would fetch you coconuts . Just the under water life fom the beach is worth it. I still roomed taking a...

What more can you want? The owner Lana is really the sweetest person, she personally takes care of all your needs. She also is known as the best cook on the island, and in my almost 4-year experience of Belize, I'd say she's one of the best cooks I've found here in total. She is very helpful also in arranging...

We planned on camping on Lana's beach 2 nights and ended up staying 5. We would have stayed in their guesthouse a few nights had it not been completely booked -and booked for good reason - Miss Lana takes great pride in her establishment. Rooms are very clean and neat as a pin. You won't find better service . ....

My husband and I, as well a few family members took a overnight/day trip to the tobacco cayes. The boatride from dangriga was very pretty. The water overlooking all the cayes has many shades of turquoise and deep blue. we arrived on the deck and Ms. Leslie was there to welcome us. She had a very quaint beach with 3...

We stayed on Tobacco Caye for a few nights and went snorkeling around the island and at South Water Caye. The food at Lana's was great and we enjoyed all of the staff. During the off season we paid US$30 a day pp for 3 meals and a modest room. We also contended with Gaviota's generator and it was not...

There are no restaurants on Tobacco Caye; you have to arrange your meals with your accommodation. Everybody knows that Miss Lana is the best cook on the island. Good home cooking served up family-style in her veranda kitchen. She was so nice, and really went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay. Unfortunately, we had...
