During October 1-10, 2006, my sister & I stayed at the Upper Kenai River Inn in Cooper Landing, AK. Our stay was the highlight of our trip to Alaska. Our room was spacious & comfortable, & our hostess, Mrs. Peggy Givens, couldn't have been any friendlier or nicer. Her breakfasts were very delicious & we enjoyed visiting with her other...

This B&B was the perfect place to stay in the Kenai Peninsula! The room was clean and fresh. The breakfasts prepared by Peggy were first rate-gourmet! James was very knowledgable about the area and provided us with helpful information during our visit.. He went above and beyond the call of duty in acting as unofficial tour guide. The Upper Kenai River...

Our second multi day stay at the Upper Kenai River Inn was as pleasant as the first. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a deck facing the river. The view to and across the river is excellent with wildlife viewing opportunities and watching the fishermen and rafters floating the Kenai. Peggy and James are terrific hosts. The breakfast is...

The owners are large people who do not walk softly. If that wasn't bad enough, the walls between rooms must be made of paper mache...

The rooms are clean and spacious, but are basically the downstairs of the main house. The walls between the rooms are paper thin. When we stayed there we heard everything going on both upstairs and in the bordering rooms. One guest in an adjoining room snored so loudly we could not sleep. Also a dog barked all night long. When...

Located directly on the banks of the Upper Kenai River, we found this B&B to be a delight. The owners are friendly, talkative and engaging. The hot breakfast served in the morning was a feast, and it included homemade raspberry sauce (from fruit just picked in the garden!) over sourdough pancakes. The owners graciously accommodated a special dietary request (vegetarian),...
