Our experience at El Capitan Lodge was memorable from the time we landed from our floatplane to the time we left. The management, headed by Nani, were friendly and accommodating. I was recovering from throat surgery, 4 weeks post-op, and was on a pureed diet. They pureed my food for every meal...even the lunch that was on board our fishing...

There are many fishing lodges in Alaska but this one has a distinct flavor of the Aloha spirit. The owners have deep connections to Hawaii and several captains are from Hawaii and it is reflected in the service and attention to detail given. You are family and this is on top of great fishing, comfortable accommodations, excellent food and a...

Been there 3 times, booked for a fourth. We limit salmon (silvers in August), halibut (caught 165# and 190# fish on 2 of the trips), and various other fish. Cabins very comfortable; food is great. Fishing crews get you to the fish, early and often. They clean and vacuum- seal, deliver to airport for you to take home and enjoy.

Doesn't get any better than this. Clean and comfortable cabins...staff were extremely helpful and friendly...Caught plenty of fish to take home...They package it very well for your trip home...Extremely remote...You will have to take a float plane to get there.

The returning client base speaks for itself at this AAA+ fishing resort. Did a 4/4 trip in mid June, speechless...just nothing to complain about. Absolutely fantastic. The Guides, Food, tackle, service, scenery, logistics, fish prep....you cannot find a fault in this operation. Fishing was great, despite being somewhat early in the season, plenty of King Salmon, Halibut and Rockfish. Came...

This resort is first rate across the board. If there is better in Alaska I have not found it. In fact I quit looking when I found El Capitan. The food, the guides, the equipment, the accomodations, the sincere dedication to service. Year after year they deliver the goods.

This lodge advertises itself as excellent, unforgettable and offering quality and service. Well that it does and more. Attention is paid to every detail. The accommodations are outstanding for being a lodge in a pretty remote area of the world. Superior staff, exceptional food, and truly an unforgettable fishing experience. The owners, Nani and Scott are fully accessible to every...
