Definitely your standard Alaska roadhouse. Lots of good, greasy food - the side of fries most meals come with are enough to make a meal without anything else! Holy cow! And they are FREAKING TASTY. I had the fried chicken to go with it, and while the chicken was cooked well the breading hardened a little TOO much and my...

This Lodge is out in the wild on the Glenallen Highway, the route to this Lodge has all the beautiful scenery you could wish to see, deep valleys with flowing wide rivers, glaciers etc. When you arrive you are welcomed by the warm welcoming staff and shown to your room. At first glance I thought, not sure about this, but...

We shared a room here the night before the Fireweed Bike Race. I had hoped for a good night's sleep before 200 miles on a bike the next day. Check in was fine, the room was fine (especially considering the very reasonable rate) and the beds were comfortable. The down sides I experienced are really out of the owners hands......

This lodge has been here for longer than I have - 50 years at least. They've always been known for their 'sticky buns,' that are better'n most you'll find anywhere else. Oh, and their coffee - 'the last $0.25 cup of coffee around.' Their burgers and fries are good; I don't like that they insist on grilling the flavor out...

Stopped in at Eureka Roadhouse for an overnight stay while on a snowmobiling trip. The food was Great but a little overpriced for the portions. The room was OK The bed seem a little outdated and kind of lumpy. It was nice to have a TV in the room and be able to take a shower in our own room....

My husband and I stopped at the roadhouse for lunch and really enjoyed the whole experience from the interesting public dining areas, the food and the people watching. The chicken noodle soup was just ok but the burger and fries were delicious. The homemade bananna meringue pie was a huge serve and was amazing. Well worth a stop.

I stopped by Eureka Lodge on Thursday for lunch. I travel often between my place in the Wrangell Mountains and our home in Anchorage, 300 miles one way. Eureka is along the highway and fits in just right most of the time for lunch, both coming and going. But it has been over a year since I ate there last....

Good food and beverages, and prices aren't outrageous. Great service even when busy, you may have a little wait but it is worth it. The staff are always friendly and the restaurant is entertaining with all the placks on the walls with there sayings will put a smile on your face.

Hubby and I spent the day riding our ATV around the hills of Belanger Pass and decided to stop for dinner at 8pm before heading home. Apparently they had been slammed with summer adventurers that day and we managed to get there at a lull...it didn't last long, just as we were served a party of ten came in! Pretty...

Eureka is another hours drive from/to Glennallen, two hours from/to Anchorage, on the Glenn Highway. It is very close to reportedly the highest summit on any Alaskan Highway. I have eaten there for about 60 years. Living in Anchorage I spend my summer months in the Wrangell Mountains, which means I have about a 6.5 hour drive each way. I...
