I stayed the night of the Bike Relay, so was quite pleased with the quietness of the room! I had heard stories of the place before, so was a bit wary, but I stayed in the lowest level, mid row, and below the deckand I didn't hear any noises other than a shower running in the morning and the place...

I couldn't stand how almost everything fabric in this hotel was so gross. The towels were some brownish color next to some white ones so im not sure if they where old or they changed brands. The carpets were so old you could feel the dirt. Decor is nautical and close to a real pirate theme. I definitely feel very...

I stayed with Captains choice in November, when I was in Haines for the Eagle festival. It is important to remember you are in a remote location, so expectations need to be different. The room was clean and the staff were helpful and nice. There are few rooms in Haines, and I liked that others that were in the area...

We stayed here in October, having come upmfrom Juneau on the ferry to go to the bald eagle preserve, which was amazing! This motel is very old, but our room was clean and as other reviews said, you can walk pretty much anywhere. We didn't have the breakfast which was just coffee and I think bagel or toast. But the...

Place charges 120 a night for a dump, but they know you have no where else to go so you pay. They have an unreasonable surcharge for using the Internet that did not work for us, it kept dropping in and out. Rooms look like they were from a 70s horror film, complimentary breakfast was a joke. Staff was nice...

The staff here are great but the motel needs a major overhaul. The motel is kept as clean as it can be but carpet needs to be replaced, rooms painted, key cards install, new trim, etc, all which is probably out of reach of the owners. Internet is not free but the location is quite good, but given that Haines...

This is a great place to stay if everywhere else is fully booked. The rooms are noisy (we could hear conversations in the rooms on both sides of us), the breakfast is muffins and bagels, the wifi is extra (extra!! I'm already paying for the room, why are you making me pay for wifi on top of it??), and the...

This is a very old hotel, with a good location in Haines, Alaska. It has good parking and you can get close to your room. The front desk is really friendly. It has a simple coffee and bagel breakfast. They had several cable channels but the reception was a bit fuzzy on some stations - just reminded me of growing...

I believe this is the only remaining actual Motel in Haines, Alaska. It has a pleasant location, near the water and in the center of the small town so you can walk everywhere you need to go. Our room was adequate, if somewhat outdated. The TV's can sure use a major update. Be aware that 'Internet for fee' does NOT...

I had originally booked a room at a different place, a BnB but I couldn't find it so I had to just grab a room here while I was waiting for the ferry. The price was a little steep... the room wasn't all that clean, but the place is old so i guess that would be why there are as...
