We stayed at McKinley RV Park and Campground in June 2015. I decided to write the review after just recently seeing their website. I did not see much resemblance between the actual campsite and their pictures. We wanted to see 49th State Brewing Company and have an early dinner. We realized at the time that the campground was NOT ideal,...

I write poetry & sometimes when I visit certain areas it really inspires me to write about my experience. Well...this place was easy to write about. This place was unsafe, nasty & overall the worse "so called" campground we've ever visited. We were about 25 minutes from the entrance to McKinnley Park where we had to drive our selves to...

Their website makes it look like a 5 star resort, very misleading. Our campsites were up against old buildings on blocks with junk all around. These were the deluxe sights. Can't see that on their website pictures. It doesn't look anything like the pictures anymore. Roads had huge pot holes. Showers were blocked and locked. Dogs barking at all hours.

good hookups, nothing special, walking distance to 49th State brewery. Not much in the area so this was a welcome spot after a long day of driving, staff in store very nice. Half way to Fairbanks from denali.

I was first sceptical about this place untill my friend told me about it and how good it was.I stayed there for 3 nights and it was good. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasurable. You should definitely stay at this place.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! They are rude!! They gave our reserved space to someone else before we got there. When we went to check in it took them 20 minutes to figure out what they had done. They offered no explanation or apology! We went to the new MUDHOLE it was a mess. The grass was over grown the so...

The gravel roads were full of potholes and did not appear to have gravel added or grated this year. While campers should leave sites clean, no effort has been made by management to clean the sites of debris, trim overgrown lower branches, and having water at water faucets. Further, there were at least three residents staying in old RV's or...

We stayed here out of necessity. All the campgrounds in Denali were full and after calling 4 other privately owned campgrounds, we figured we'd better take what we could get. The website seemed promising so we made our reservation and looked forward to our first night of tent camping in Alaska! The tent sites were located next to one of...

This place was a HUGE disappointment. We booked our reservation for a family of 7 for 2 RV spots with full-hookups for 5 nights a year in advance. The people we spoke to on the phone were wonderful. However, when we went to check in, we discovered they were under new management. No one knew what they were doing. One...

Contacted the RV Park 3 times after my reservation; last time was day prior to arrival via phone. Nobody bothered to tell me that they no longer had potable water ate the RV sites. In fact, the guy I spoke to one the phone day prior actually asked me if "..anyone had told me about the water..." when we arrived...

“Denali is a wild place, be polite and patient with your international service staff. In AK reservations don't seem to always be guarantee of services but they do love to barter! There are wooded sites but they're closer to the road, RV sites are close together and ask for a site away from the former bath/pump house as it's a little smelly. GO TO THE 49th BREWERY!!”
