If you need a funky B&B in a scruffy little frontier town, then this is the place! Husband and I arrived on a cold rainy September afternoon before our adventure cruise left the next day. The owner carried our suitcases up the long narrow staircase; he also knew I was celebrating my birthday, so he arrived later with a chilled...

Thanks so much for taking the time to write. We are glad you liked our vibe and that is hilarious that our rooms seemed gigantic compared to the cruise ship - proving everything is relative. We are glad you enjoyed the conversation with the other guests and the breakfast set up. We no longer run the bakery in the building....

We stayed here two nights in total although this was separated by a week cruising - so pre and post cruise accomodation. It's not a huge hotel but the rooms are extremely comfortable with good size bathrooms and all the amenities you need to hand. Our first stay: arrived late, was welcomed by a very helpful and friendly chap, signed...

This place is a real gem. It is a 12 room hotel in the old part of Juneau that is a comfortable walk to the terrific state museum, as well as the usual cruise ship tourist traps...but far enough away that is doesn't loose its charm. The amenities are very well thought out, the breakfast bar [free breakfast B&B style]...

The Silverbow is a gem of a hotel! Our hosts were extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. They even went so far as to give us a breakfast to go box as our early departure was before the breakfast time! Rooms are spotlessly clean .....great boutique hotel.

The word that sums up Silverbow is gracious. The proprietors clearly have put a lot of thought into providing what travelers and guests want and need. This makes for a very comfortable stay. The hospitality for us didn't end at check out as we were warmly accommodated in the lobby sitting area while awaiting a late flight out. Many thanks!

There have been a few changes since our visit last year. The biggest change is that the Silverbow Bakery, which was next door, has closed so instead of getting a coupon good for a free breakfast from them, the hotel provides a self-serve breakfast bar which is nicely stocked with healthy eating options (quiche, bagels, oatmeal, fruit, etc.). While nice,...

We really miss the bakery too, not the work of running it but the food for sure. We are glad you found that we tried really hard to mimic its offerings as best we could in our inn lobby and then some. We added whole wheat waffles, espresso, fresh fruit, cookies and evening sweet treats. Hope to see you again...

Very enjoyable stay at the Silverbow. Warm, friendly place where I discovered (to my surprise) just how down to earth Alaskans are! Right downtown with easy walking to all you will need. This is the opposite of a chain hotel. Chatted with other guests and the owners for some time in the lobby. Could not ask for anything more regarding...

Friendly, wonderful staff. Found the bed to be quite comfortable! Great use of very limited space in room. Updated bathroom. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet and 24 hour access to mini kitchen, stocked with teas, coffee and treats. Great location*** in historic downtown, close to everything, but far enough away from the cruise ships. Near many good restaurants--dine at least once...

I cant even begin to start with the small details this hotel has....earplugs, candy, rubber ducks, bath salts, books, robes, rooftop hot tub, antiques, OVER THE TOP FREE hot breakfast. Staff VERY friendly. I would stay here over and over.

But agreed with the reviewer who called it promising. Our room was small and dominated by a king size bed so not a lot of places to put stuff. Maybe a queen would suffice?
