We found the Gilmore online for accommodations for a last minute overnight getaway to Ketchikan. We checked in a little early and they were able to accommodate. Room was small but recently updated. This is a historic building very close to downtown. Free taxi to & from the ferry if you have a reservation--just ask the desk. Queen bed, great... More

Stayed here to save money. Trip was altered due to AMHS Ferry having mechanical problems. Nice quiet single room in the back, Left wake up call for midnight due to ferry loading at 3:30 am. I asked the night clerk (Eileen?)about possible stores open to pick up some snacks and she stated that everything was closed, but offered her own... More

I stayed at the Gilmore for for a business trip to Ketchikan AK. It is an older hotel that has been nicely remodeled. It has an excellent location in downtown Ketchikan where i was able to walk to many restaurants and tourist sites. The friendly staff provided a free airport shuttle that was convenient and timely. The rooms are not... More

The Gilmore is a perfect choice when visiting the town of Ketchikan. Right on the Main Street, close to everything. Beautiful, older hotel. Yes, there are no elevators, but the few steps are not hard to manage. The ladies at the front deskwere friendly and very helpful. Very glad we choose to stay here while visiting.

Some of the charm was because it looks so old and outdated, but some updating around the front desk would be good because it is crowded due to the layout of the entry. Service at desk was helpful, but slow getting info processed. No elevator. The room door stuck, and it made us think that the key was faulty,. which... More

We had a room with a harbour view which made it more interesting. Because it's a very old hotel it has basic amenities, but it is clean and comfortable. No breakfast or cookies as advertised, but tea/ coffee available on the second floor all day. Excellent location.

Anywhere Else I would have given 2 stars, but for Ketchikan there's a kind of quality curve. Room was clean, small, no view, but I was trying to cut cost. I'm sure if you're willing to spend more, you'll get more. Also note, there is no elevator at the Gilmore. And you can walk to just about anywhere you need... More

We had to stay in Ketchikan one night before our float plane could get us out. I was very impressed with this place. They pay for a cab to shuttle you back and forth from the airport. That was a pleasant surprise. This place is a historic buildings and it shows with the rooms. They are clean though and very... More
