It's the location that makes this place. The views are amazing. Even though it is far off the beaten path, about 20 minutes from route 1, it has an excellent restaurant. The cabin was a little tight for me, some would call it rustic and cozy. However, it was very clean with a comfortable bed. There is no cable TV,...

As others have mentioned, this place is a large group of modern individual cabins set with a view of the mountains. It's at the end of the road, so you have the feeling of being "out there." There's no wi-fi in the cabins, but it is available in the lounge in the main lodge. The restaurant is has excellent food,...

My husband, infant son and I stayed here for two nights and we absolutely loved it. The cabins are simple but cozy and offer one spectacular view of the mountains and valley. It was incredibly clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The cabins are very remote which is something we really enjoyed - it was peaceful and since it...

Very cute comfortable cabins (about 25 in all) overlooking beautiful snow-capped mountains which are sure to take your breath away. We arrived during the VERY EARLY MORNING ( around 3:30am) Although the drive from Anchorage Airport was quite lengthy (duein part to the fact that it was very rainy and foggy that night), it was WELL WORTH IT! We had...

This is a must stop on your Alaskan journey. Each little cabin is perfectly set up. There is no wifi or tv so be prepared to unplug. The restaurant on property is fantastic. Also you can book a helicopter to the nearby glacier. Highly recommended.

Knik River Lodge is a hidden gem. It is a group of cabins, very well-appointed and equipped. No wifi though (a plus for me). The restaurant had a limited but very adequate menu. There is a helicopter on-site for trips to the glacier where you can actually mush a dog sled team. I'd skip their "hike" unless you're in pretty...

A little gem an hour outside of Anchorage. The views from all the cabins are amazing. The helicopter ride was exceptional. The glacier tour helicopter pilot was very competent, knowledgeable and took us on a great ride. Highly recommend the glacier tour. Front office staff was really helpful and friendly. Christie and Sierra made the experience even better with their...

Recently stayed at the lodge. All the accommodations are in separate cabins which are nicely furnished, simple but rustic. The restaurant, Raven's Perch is an unexpected treat. But you are probably here for the scenery - which is great. Deduct a star if you MUST have TV and in-room internet

Our family of 4 stayed 2 nights at Knik River Lodge with another family. Following an hour ride in from Anchorage, we were pleasantly surprised to find the very clean, modern cabins and a very nice main office/restaurant venue which felt more like a clubhouse. I learned from Peter (GM) that this building was built only last year. We loved...

Do you stay here for the accommodation?? Probably not as its all about the location. The helicopter tours from the lodge are wonderful and the main reason for our visit. The tour to the glacier and strapping on crampons is a highlight of my life and the pilot/guide just wonderful. The rooms are basic and confused. There is a kettle...
