Having taken the overnight train to Lao cai and driven to sapa (arrived around 5.30am and 1c) we spent the morning walking through the beautiful the local villages. We then wandered up to a little slice of heaven - the Topas ecolodge. A beautiful hill top location with views across the vallies. Given the location the facilities, during our stay,...

Enjoy a wine by the fire, or read a book outside looking into the big valley... if you need peace and quite for a few...

Sapa is a backpacker town, Topas Ecolodge is a relaxed getaway in the mountains. We stayed for 7 days and went to Sapa for one day. The hikes offered at the travel desk were really over priced for a family but looked appealing. We hiked on our own around the Red Zao people's trails. The ladies at the road selling...

I was very satisfied with the place, it is like heaven. So quiet, so pure, the place is like little heaven on earth. I just fell in love with it immediately. For a really nice place, the drink price is quite reasonable, we had a bottle of red for $20 that tastes very good. The dinner was just ok, it...

The lodge is completely isolated from everywhere else: over 40 minutes driving from Sapa town, no TV, no wifi in your room. It's the best option for those would just want to get way from the hustle and bustle of big cities and enjoy the breathtaking views of Sapa in your own way. Every bungalow has great views to the...

The lodge is located about 45 mins away from sapa town. The road to get there can be sucky especially on a misty/rainy day. The lodge itself offers the most amazing views of sapa. The room we stayed in had a funky smell in the morning and the dinner is average everything else was good. Would recommend if amazing views...

The Ecolodge is an amazing masterpiece perched on top of a mountain surrounded by mountain ranges, sloping valleys of padi fields, meandering river and tribal villages. I stayed there for three nights and on both days that I trekked and looked back at the lodge from the other side of the mountain range, I stood in awe of its existence...

I stayed in Topas Ecolodge for 4 nights. It is a beautiful , quiet and peaceful place. The mountains surrounding the hotel are nothing less than amazing. We took the free transport to Sapa town for two days. We spent the evening watching the sun setting and mornings the sun rising. The view is just spectacular. If one needs action...

stayed here with family for 2 nights over Christmas to end a 4 day private tour through the valley with Topas. The room was great and more than adequate to house the 4 of us. When the cloud lifted the view was amazing. Food was great over the whole stay. The locals are no different to any country where there...

We had a glorious stay at Topas, the simple accomodation is delightful and environmentally sympathetic to a stunning landscape. Much has been said about the attention western tourist attract on the trails, while it can be over whelming, you need to keep it in perspective. Our guide told the ladies each day that we would not buy anything, so not...
