Great atmosphere, old-ish looking rooms but in a good way, great old look inside the hotel especially up the stairs, great inside terrace with very good food, located in the citadel center. Worth it !

Came into Sighisoara via night train from Bucharest and took a two dollar taxi ride to this charming little hotel. It's family run and that makes a big difference as the staff really seem to care about the place. There is a cosy terrace with restaurant and bar out back. The food and the wine are reasonably priced by North... More

The hotel is very centrally situated but besides that have got nothing good to say about the hotel. The lighting is the room was terrible, the service in the hotel restaurant was terrible, the breakfast wasn't up to much. One good point, the room was very clean. No kettle in the room. Big disappointment!

This is a charming hotel. They don't have some of the modern amenities that many people are accustomed to, but its due to the historic nature of the hotel. There is no elevator, for starters. There is no air conditioning, so I couldn't imagime a summer stay. We opened the wondow, and it did cool off, but there are no... More

I am amazed, actually shocked, to read some of the previous reviews and cannot believe that I stayed in the same hotel (either that or some people have ridiculous expectations, or just an axe to grind?). Firstly - the position of this hotel could not be better, it is in the middle of the citadel area and makes a great... More

I called for a drink as I had the previous day . A pile of maps (single A4 sheet ) were on the reception desk . I asked if I could take one ? Not really expecting to told "No tour groups only " was the reply . Surely they have a spare map and if not why leave them... More

I stayed here for one night with a G Adventures tour - I wish I could have stayed longer. The ambience of the hotel is fantastic and it's located right in the heart of this picturesque, fairytale-like city. It does not have AC (I don't think) but the hotel was still nice and cool during the hot Romanian summer. The... More

Nice hotel and terrace. Had some salmon with prawns. Should have sticked to a more traditional Romanian dish. Especially the prawns were not well prepared and only two of them. Daughter had soup but she did not like it. Indeed, the soup did not taste that well. Too bad as the place is quite nice!
