We booked this hotel because the map on Expedia, and Google Maps, said it was in downtown Datca. The description says it's close to the beach. Booking.com has the correct location, which is miles from the beach and downtown Datca. It is a lovely hotel, which we toured, but didn't stay because of the location. Also, we didn't find any...

There are many hotels in Turkey which claim to be boutique or luxury. Unfortunately, many do not live up to this accolade - the Mehmet Ali on the other hand does. The 200 year old mansion is set 3-4km out of the main town in the hills amongst some beautiful gardens. I had the pleasure of spending 2 nights there...

We were upgraded to a large room in the main house with views over the courtyard restaurant and the most beautiful gardens. We spent some time around the pool when the weather permitted as we...

The stunning gardens and the mansion itself are amazing. A great place for anyone looking for solitude in a beautiful environment. It is not on the water, but we had rented a car and loved traveling around the Datca peninsula visiting various beaches. The hotel itself and the surrounding area had the feel of being off the beaten path, which...

Just spent a week at this "Museum Hotel" - and really can't understand the two recent grouchy reviews of it. The description - "Museum Hotel" - is just right: delightful fusion of 200-year-old Ottoman mansion and elegant modern boutique hotel, set in some of the most stunningly beautiful grounds I have seen - providing welcome shade under huge fig-trees, pergolas...

As a couple from Byron Bay we really forgot about our all plans and after having a fascinating dinner in Alaki,we decided to overnight here as well. It was really a great experience for us to see all these legitimate comform, sleek & incandescent designs and gardens.Service in general was perfect also.Hopefully we will be back soon.

this place used to be a dream destinations for us in turkey - not only worth a detour, but worth a trip to turkey, altough difficult to reach and not at the seaside. but that's probably why it kept it's charme. we had booked our stay a few weeks ago with several emails going to and fro, exchanging information about...
